Oh and, does anyone have any issues wearing deodorant? So far I'm not shaving or wearing deodorant....and hoping not to continue to do this....enough said.

This hits so close to home for me. I have been suffering for about 18 years but located on upper thighs. Now, I have a few in my armpit and the pain is unbearable. I am so extremely sorry, I understand your pain sadness and frustration. I just got results back from a holistic nutritionist and come to find out, I have many food intolerances. I am also watching a documentary called "Betrayal" with Dr Tom OBryan. The ideas and suggestions for pain relief or just being able to cope. Just knowing there is an option to be happy and pain-free. I want it and am hoping for something to become evident.

When i have a bad flare up like that I go to the dermatologist and get a steroid shot. Bring sthe flare down within hours

When i get bad flare ups on my armpits, if it begins to get too painful i will pop them myself, i get a needle and pop it and then squeeze the pus out until it bleeds it hurts like crazy but it feels sooo much better once its been drained.. Mine come and go and i feel like i will always have them.. i did go a year without them but they did come back.. right now i have 6 that are draining on my armpit i popped them 2 days ago and they are still oozing and it smells but i dont have any pain at all.. I dont ever shave my armpits, but then again i dont really have alot of hair in my armpits maybe because of all the scarring... questions are good.. ive been dealing with this since i was 13 im 29 now and pray my baby doesnt get it..

Thanks everyone. I have had this open one in my armpit for a while now, where some days I can manually drain it by pushing and other days it drains all on its own and I wrap it up...and other days it appears it's getting bigger and gets sooo painful. It's been about 6 weeks now. Sadly I'm just getting use to it.

Okay, sorry to hear that you are struggling with that. Been there done that. Don't really try to squeeze anything out because even though you might get some stuff out, it really irritates it. It did for me at least. Never wear deodorant or antiperspirant. The deodorant will irritate your pores and the antiperspirant that keeps you from sweating with especially cause inflammation. In women and sometimes men, antiperspirants will block the glands in your armpits and force lumps to come out around and on the breasts, making things worse. Some people try essential oils with a combination of coconut oil and or baking soda. I'm sure they work for some people, but I would advise to stay away from even trying them and risking further irritation. Please cover it with a 100 percent cotton woven gauze (I like the 4x4.) Sterile gauze is kind of a waste and it's more expensive. You can get a paper box case of 200 sheaths on Amazon for about $7. The type of gauze that is found at most pharmacies is a rayon polyester blend that is more cushiony, but doesn't have good breathability, which adds heat, which results in swelling. So cover it with 3 or 4 of the 4x4 gauze, and use a paper tape or tape that is not irritating to you. I would change mine every 8 or every 12 hours depending on the drainage. The tape that I like is called mediopore surgical tape. That is more pricy, but again Amazon is like 3 rolls for like $28 or something. Make sure you overlap the gauzes so you cover more of the armpit and try not to get tape on the armpit itself.

I have the same issue in the arm-pit area. I just tried tumeric capsule last night and my swelling went down by 50% after one dose!!!! Please spend the $10 for a bottle, you will be happy you did!
