Wondering where others here live

My best friend and husband of 30 years died unexpectedly in December so I am new to this group. I have found you all to be so very supportive and I want to tell you how much you have helped me (especially between 1 and 6 am when I seem to need you the most). Knowing others are having or have had some of the same emotional moments, breakdowns, etc. that I am having helps ~ not that I want every one to be in pain but you know what I mean, I was wondering if anyone might live nearby. Just curious ~ oh and I live outside the Roanoke/Salem area of Virginia

I live outside of Austin, Texas. I am also new to this group. My husband will be gone 8 months as of this Sunday, the 25th. It seems like just yesterday. My sleeping habits have SO changed. I finally fall asleep about 2 a.m. and am once again wide awake between 5:30 and 6 a.m. I don't feel tired, but I know I must be. I would give anything to open my eyes at 5:30 in the morning and not immediately think of my loss. They tell me that day will come.

There's been many a night when sleep eludes me, and I log on to see everyone's posts. Helps me feel less alone on this journey.

Hi,
I live south of Roanoke in Abingdon, Virginia! My husband lost his battle with leukemia a little over a year ago! He was my best friend and love of my life. I am looking for a new friend. Maybe we could get together and share our stories!

    My mom passed away on June 18th. I was her cargiver and only child. Although she was 89 years young and it was "expected" I don't know how to BREATHE without her. I stay busy throughout the day but I can only do that so long until I burn out! I'm all alone now and don't know what I'm going to do!! I can only fake it for so long. I'm TIRED of losing my people!!!!
