My best friend and husband of 30 years died unexpectedly in December so I am new to this group. I have found you all to be so very supportive and I want to tell you how much you have helped me (especially between 1 and 6 am when I seem to need you the most). Knowing others are having or have had some of the same emotional moments, breakdowns, etc. that I am having helps ~ not that I want every one to be in pain but you know what I mean, I was wondering if anyone might live nearby. Just curious ~ oh and I live outside the Roanoke/Salem area of Virginia

I am often on at odd times because I live in England now (ex-pat American) and we are 5 hours later than the East Coast, 8 hours later than the West Coast, so I sometimes get the late night crowd, so to speak.

I'm in Sunny, Los Angeles.....Been here since I was 3 years old. I'm originally from Pittsburgh, Penn. Most of my parent's families lived in McKeesport, Pittsburgh, Johnstown, Menessan [sp], and environs.

I graduated Fairfax High School in L.A. and met Morey a few months after graduation. I was in a coffee shop with a few girlfriends and in walked the most handsome, delicious man. Our eyes met and, as they say, the rest is history. He was an older guy but so kind and gentle and who isn't attracted to "kind & gentle?"
