Nealy you are a jewel. I am with Duckie I would take that farmhouse. Moms do need to be cared for but where is she now? She loves you. She has to love you. You are too sweet not to love.
Mk and all Cinnamon,Cherry and everyone else thank you for comments on this mylegram issue. I am going to talk to my primary before i do it. Research is showing the cervical mylegram is painful and a little risky. It does show that you get a better picture than with a MRI with contrast. Right now I just feel like keep my pain comfortable and leave me alone.
I don't want neck surgery.
I hope everyone has a better day.
I hope you all get to feeling better and know that you are very much in my thoughts and prayers
I have the worst of the worst migraine I have ever had. Went to ER last night;got a shot of Demerol/Phenergan to ease my pain. OUCH! I think the vampire got a big chunk of my butt and Boy! Did it sting....whine,whine,whine...sorry. I am sick of being sick, lol
You all are great and have made me feel so welcome, I Thank you for that and if I am MIA for a few days,it's cuz the migraine is lingering on and on.
Take care everyone, big gentle hugs to you all:)
MaryKathryn
Not sure about today, it's wide open and I'm leaving it that way.
I only slept so so for maybe 3 hours and it's quiet now that everyone is off to work and school. Good chance for a nap.
We're still stuck in this beautiful weather patern and I'm loving it. My back is sort of a mess still so I don't see any work getting done today.
We have a wedding to attend tomorrow, one of the autism specialist that works with my son is getting married so we're planning to go to the wedding send the kids home with grandma and grandad early and my wife and I will stay out at the reception and enjoy ourselves as long as they let us. I love weddings, well maybe it's just the receptions, ha ha.
Well, I have been up since forever now and I am looking forward to some sleep but, I can't stand myself because I have done nothing in the form of exercise and I am turning into jell-o as I lay around. ICK.
@ Nealy
that is small~I practically lived at my aunt and uncles farm when I grew up. My uncle had the land in his family for generations. It had the original little farm house on it too...just a cabin that got its' own additions as the children came. It still had newspaper walls and barn floors in the main part of the house! It was the coolest ol place I ever knew. Out house included ...which was still used during farming season...but, the house had a bathroom in it too by then.
@Kansass
Three hours...don't complain....you don't need more than three hours of sleep you big baby! HEHEHEH
Get some rest to be able to tie one on at the reception.
HUGS to you all
Hope everyone else is having a decent day. I'm hurting but trying not to complain. Take care all, peace and hugs,
Lisa
Having a decent day so far. Had to run some errands this morning. Got home, working with Rocco on his outside potty training. Poor little thing, I hope he didn't get in my meds..........he just pooped, and man it was huge. I had to hurry up and get it in the bag in case someone came by and thought I did it.
Hopefully he will start school tomorrow. This will be our third attempt. First two had complications.
Anyway, I hope y"all are good, and have a good night.
Hugs,
David.
Migraine is slowly going away, I can actually look at the computer screen without squinting and my head hurting.
@Superduck-I have the same memories of my best friends'grandfather in Minnesota;we would go to the lake where he had a farmhouse and we'd sleep in the barn on hay bales. Fun times! I hope you have a good weekend, my friend.:)
@Kansas-I think we should have a 3 hr. sleep club-I can certainly relate to that. They put me on sleeping pills once and I slept a whole 4 hours. Forget taking sleeping pills for me!! I really hope you can get some sleep, I'm in the same place myself. Hope you have a good weekend.:)
@SadSadLisa-I feel for you, hon. I know when I don't feel good, the last thing I want is company. I hope you can enjoy the evening. Sounds like a fun neighbor thing to do, only if you don't have the chronic pain. I hope you will be able to get some rest this weekend.:)
As far as me, back to my Moms' for the weekend; she is making shrimp scampi(She's 100% Italian), I love her cooking. She knows how to get me over at the house with her wonderful Italian cooking.lol
Monday I will stay also, its' the anniversary of my Dads death; she still gets very upset, even though he died in 1979. I like to be with her on that day. Sounds like a not so fun weekend for me lol Oh well, better than sitting alone at home, I guess.:)
Sorry if I missed anyone-want to wish you all a low pain and fun weekend to all of you.
I'll be back on Tuesday, don't try to miss me too much, lol. I know I will miss all of you. Lots of love and gentle hugss, MaryKathryn
I am kidding...... Maggie will sit when I tell her to IF I have something to give her like a treat, but when I have nothing she just doesn't buy it. So I guess she is pretty smart anyhow!
I am glad your day is decent.
Hi everyone else........ I am here. Check. Present.
I am heading to bed after spending 8 hours straight in the kitchen. Made caramel apple cupcakes (4 dozen, ugh!) for my son's soccer team, and then made some smokey shrimp and corn chowder for dinner...boy was it yummy!
Hope you all have a wonderful, low pain weekend! Hugs xxxx
Jim's mom is the same way Nealytee she thinks no one is good enough for him but her! I think she'd marry him if she could LMAO!
David isn't puppy training so much fun?!
Kansass hope you have a good time! Sounds like fun!
Lisa that is way cool how you and your neighbors get together.
Maryk Yeah your migranes gone! I hope it stays that way!
Cinnamon I'm so glad you are feeling better. That food you made sounds way Yummy!
Superducky what are you doing my friend sleeping all day? LOL! I've tried to call you back, but.....
I hope you are getting lots of rest, I know how much you need it!!!
Randy good to see you on here and feeling good.
It's been raining here and suppose to for 4 days. We need it though we haven't had any in over 2 mths. It has me achy, but I'll survive. I've been kind of bummed out lately. I go through bouts of fatigue and when I'm like that my energy level in very low and I have to rest ALOT. This gets boring and depressing after awhile. I need it to lift off of me. Does anyone else go through this?
Have a beautiful fun weekend my gracious friends
I hope everybody is doing OK, or OK as possible.
I am doing about the same. Rocco is doing great with his outside training.
We have another funeral this morning. A church member that was very special to me. It seems like they're dropping like flies. We had one just this past Sunday.
Thanks for making this a great place to be.
I'm going to start a new thread that would be great for us to continue to, ( check-in ), for lack of better words.
Hugs,
David.
