The storm seems to have blown on the North and now we are left with very cool temps. Amazing and wonderful. I am very thankful for the cool air. I am thankful for you that are here in this group and ask God to lead and guide you in all of your ways and for healing in every part of our lives. God is Good.

This rainy weather is killing me. It's been so nice here, it seems for months, but we have a few overcast, rainy days.

First...To all of you who are suffering throught the tropical storm, aftermaths of the hurricane and other acts of God...I am thinking of you and supporting you and hoping you will be ok and be able to be with family/friends.

Sorry about your trainer not showing. That kind of stuff infuriates me only because it is so hard to get out to begin with. However, I am very happy and, I am sure Rocco is too, that there were lots of treats and food for him when he got home. Those little guys like to eat pretty often and one meal missed makes for unhappy babies.

I am so very glad that you got to have a house full of loved ones and friends for the weekend. Even though your house is a mess, I bet it was well worth it. How exciting for you that your daughter will be on The Bachelor! What is her name so we can be sure to root her on!!

I love indian food! We have a great resturant around here called Abruchi. It has a buffet and they always have great tandoori chicken and Mango rice. MMMM lovely!

Today is little ducks first day back to school and my boy starts tomorrow. She is excited to be going back to her special school and feels that there is hope of sucess and continued growth there. She is wearing her new black cargo pants and her cookie monster tee with a blue bow in her hair. Her toenails are green glitter and her birkenstocks are shiny. She is a happy girl and that makes me so very pleased!

My son is going to help me grocery shop today and get things ready for the coming week. I also have to fulfill the annual cookie order...except this year, it will be twice because the kids start different days. Every year since Kindergarden, I have taken the first day of school off. I lay around and enjoy the morning after getting the kids ready and off. I always make sure that they have fresh, warm cookies for them when they come home so we can sit and chat over cookies and milk on their first day. It is a cherished tradition by the kids and, they continually tell their friends about it. I am so glad that they experience love and cherished moments every year that they feel are worth bragging about. I cannot tell you how many times their friends have expressed jealousy over this...and ask if I will make enough cookies for them too for the kids to bring on the second day. I always end up baking about 3 dozen cookies....well worth the pain for the babies.

Ducky it's not my daughter that's going on the show. It's her friend that coming here to stay her last weekend before she leaves for the show. Her name is Amber from Kansas City. Mike you'll have to watch to see who is representing your area. Lol she's a sweet girl. . I want to watch to see how much their personalities change for the cameras and how much they re edit to make it sound the way the show wants it to be. I've heard that they really change things to make some people look like a certain way. All the clothing is the shows clothing. I would love that. I would do it just to have some of the clothing.

I'll be brief. It's been raining for days, and my friggin knees are killing me. :(

Feeling pretty shitty, myself. I don't even think I can blame on the weather we've had, anymore. My neck and rotator cuff have ganged up on me and using it every single day for work is not going to help it get any better.

In one hour, I go see the Nurse Practitioner and find out if I have to fire her or not. Wish me luck!

@Ducky - Cherish those sweet moments. They're grown all too fast. When my son was a teen, I insisted we have one night a week that was "ours". We'd go out to eat even if all I could afford was Hot Dogs. I miss our little special things. Although I do love cooking my son's favorite meals when he is home. I even deliver them. I guess that's a new tradition for us.

I feel a little better this morning. My upper body was all tightened up yesterday. The SCS is still working fine. Rocco is chewing on my keyboard, and I think we'll have a good day. He's doing his business outside now, still not telling me when he has to go, but I bring him out frequently, the same way, saying the same thing. I think he's catching on.

For those hurting, you know that we're here for you. For those who need to post something, do it. We would love to have some more new people.

IT'S STILL RAINING. My knees are going to surely fall off. Last night I had a migraine for nearly 9 hours. Almost went to ER. Please...we need some sunshine. My knees need a break.

I have been going downhill pretty much since Irene came around. I'm blaming it on the weather, though we had 2 really beautiful hot days in there, but its cold and supposed to rain again today. This morning it was down to 8C (46F), I'm sure the dramatic change in temp isn't helping my body. Everything hurts, all my joints, and the nerve pain is worse today; pain in both buttocks and down my right leg. I haven't really felt much nerve pain all summer, just back and joints. I'm taking my meds, following my diet pretty well and doing my stretches, not sure what's up but i'm ready for it to stop. I see my pain doc on the 20th so I'll talk to him about it then.

Lisa , I hope your pain stops soon. It's hard to tell if it weather or a flareup but what ever it is I pray that it is over soon. I wish everyone the same . Hugs to all

I also forgot (sorry, medication side effects) who has a brother in Wisconsin or Michigan that had surgery for diverticulitis and has no family in the area......could you please update....this has been heavy on my heart. My mom had to have 9 inches of her bowel removed as it had died due to diverticulitis. It was a very difficult surgery and long recovery so, I really feel your brothers pain and your pain as you cannot be there. Thank you .

Hey all...I am doing okay today. Pain goes up and down depending on what I am doing. :)

I've worked way too hard and rating my pain would require 2 charts above the standard one. I'm waiting to see if the NP does anything about screwin up and writing my script for half the usual dose. I have taken enough to eaqual what I've been on for ages and it's beyond control. I can't even imagine how I'll be if she sticks to her plan and maks me decrease so suddenly. She also decided to eliminate my fentanyl completely. Double whammy for pain and withrawals.

If I were the weepy kind...

@Duckie...I believe it was Autumn who's brother had surgery. I hope he is doing well.
