The move caught up with me and been in bed all day. More exhaustion than pain though, so I'm gratefull for that!

Irocket!!! Long time no talk! Thanks for the lovely "welcome backl"! I guess my fibro fog left me stranded on the main board. It's sad and ugly there and I'm sad it's gotten that way. At least this is still a safe bastion from the storm.

MK, I LOL'd at your Tweety Blankie! I have a purple knobby fleece throw that I call my "Warm Fuzzy" - it is an absolute essential when my pain flares! Seems silly for a gal staring down 50, but I NEED my BANKIE! Haha

I am alive, mostly. I finally went and had my knee checked out...thanks to some gentle shoving from Toni...HEHHE, and it is currently believed to be a torn miniscus. So, I have added a knee brace to my host of other supplies. FUACK! I am recovering from a thousand hours in a sitting position on the train. The kids start school this week (thank you God) so, I am busy getting them ready and my son is doing his last minute "spending time" with his friends and g/f so, I am also playing TAXI MOM. I took them to WalMart and got their school supplies and some last minute crap.
My mom is nagging me about how much "down time" I am spending in my bed since returning home. I keep trying to tell her that I hurt pretty bad between my normal stuff and my knee. She just keeps nagging. I am ignoring her and hoping silently that she blows up. ARRGGHHHH
I am keeping my sunny disposition and am trying to get back on regular schedule here. I think the next few days will be a bit challenging...but, once the kids are off to school and my mom is at work...all shall be well in the Kingdom of the Crippled once again.

I've been doing ok.Mucking out the house with George and Sam this holiday weekend.
I've also made the mistake of reading some on chronic pain board. It's still to toxic for me.Same old same ole.Newer people attacking friends of mine that have been helpful and supportive. So that group is a nono for me. I'll stay here at home,with my friends.

It's damp, cloudy, and rain-on and off, here in NC. So I don't think I need to explain how I feel. Let's just say, not as good as yesterday.

Poor Rocco goes for his first obedience class this morning and the trainer said...........NO BREAKFAST.............
He's OK, just flopped out at my feet, but he'll get chicken dogs and chunks of cheese at training......YUM.

Hi everyone! Happy Labor Day! Went away for a few days so am paying for it today! But it was worth it to be with my friends, and I only travel with those who really understand I can't do the things I used to anymore. They are great though!
I found out on Friday that Botox isn't cutting it so now i am facing surgery. I am ok with it though, whatever helps and I survived all my spine surgeries ok.

Ducky I am so sorry about your knee! Will that need to be repaired? I'm sorry my feathery friend you don't need more pain on top of pain!

Happy Labor Day everyone, its a beautiful day here; the last day of sun we might see this week so hopefully I get out to enjoy it. Mornings are turning back into the bad time of day for me. I have been waking up in pain the last few days and I'm not sure why. I'm taking my evening pills later to try to make sure they last even if I sleep in but its not working. I did have a rough night sleep-wise last night, probably all the tossing and turning doesn't help. I usually have a few decent hours in the afternoon, I'll take that because not so long ago I had no good hours.

Do you watch Dog Whisperer, David. Best info re: dogs anywhere. Not so much abt. training as it is establishing the right mentality. I love it and has really made a difference w/ my spoiled rotten Yorkie.

I'm w/ you David. The Tropical Storm is starting to move in. I'm miserable but I'm here.

Cleaning up the den, moving my mountains of books, getting rid of old and pointless papers (my there are so many!) and will convert the area to the baby's room. Must replace the rug, decorate, and furnish.

Must address shower invites.

Volvo is acting up. Can't wait to see what that's going to set me back. Car needs a major cleaning.

Need to apply for insurance reimbursements.

Will have Indian food with hubby after the parade.

Will go for a nice long walk.

Eating watermelon now.

Mmmmmm, Dhamma, we've had some of the best watermelons latley down here.
Sounds like your doing some nesting getting ready for that young'n. How cool, I hope all goes smooth for you.

As for my Labor day, hmmmmm, not so great at the moment. Wife and mother just had a large spat over a small rediculous thing and now it's not so pleasent here. May be time to head to the garage for a beer soon.

Other than that it's a pretty day, a nice break from the opressive heat we've had and the weather chick said it should be like this all week. Wonderful!

Not getting around very good today, my left knee is real bad and I cut my right foot the other day and it's soar and I think it's infected. So moving is sort of a challenge.

Wife is still sick but only one kid. My youngest is better today and going full steam.

One of those days that it would be nice to get away but I'm broke and really don't have anywhere to go. It's nice outside though so maybe I'll just head out and take a nap in the cot under the tree.

Everybody I hope you are enjoying your day, even if it's like Kansass and myself and it's just a lazy one. It's hard to believe our summer is ending. 2 days ago it was 99 and today it is 68 here! I'm feeling a wee bit cold.

QUIET !!!!!! I can hear the birds again . I can hear myself think( which is much lol) . It's all so nice. Everyone is gone and on their way home. I love having them all here but I also love my down time. Now I have tons of laundry and my clean house is once again very dirty. I think today I will just pick up and write bills( depressing ) and then get ready for next weekend. I thought it was going toe a small group but my youngest daughter ask if her friend could come before she leaves town ( she lives in Kansas City and they meet in college) . She is going to be on the show The Bachlor. We are excited for her but I know we will miss her. She can't call or email anyone . I'm still fighting and infection and alot of pain with my mouth from the surgery and now have a sinus infection. Yuck!!!! Hope everyone has had a great Labor Day ! Hugs to all

Well the kids were well enough to go to school today but I've got to take my wife to the doctor. I seem to be mostly over it but she's just gotten sicker. Not what I had planned today, oh well.
So now I'm gearing up to make a trip to town I'd rather not make. The drive never treats me well and I'll have another run to make tomorrow to get my perscriptions. Just thinking about it is hurting my back.
My pain is bearable for the moment but I'm sure I'll be feeling it when we get back.

Rough morning. Was supposed to go for a blood draw but Hubby and I were hurting so much just couldn't make the 40 mile round trip at 8 this a.m. Called and reset for tomorrow. My nurse is very understanding. Results from my first blood work (2 wks after Tx) and the virus is still undetectable!! Yea!!!! But will be holding my breath for the next couple yrs. Has rained hard off and on for the past couple days and is really affecting our pain levels. Supposed to start clearing up tomorrow so maybe we'll start feeling a little better.
