Yes, Amaris, exercising helps reducing stress. Personally it also helps me feel my body (I have a tendency to ignore it), which reduces those attacks of feeling numbed and it makes me feel stronger and more alive.
I wonder why I keep forgetting all of this... :s
And feeling ashamed because I haven't worked out for three days now even though I was determined to do so *sigh*
Now I'm in Mexico where I always like to go whenever I can. My hotel is on a pedestrian walkway that's about 3 miles long. So now we're going to see if that physical therapy did me any good and if I can get out to walk along the restaurants and shops here.
Hope I can join you here again and report my walks with yours again like I did for a while last year. Thanks for cranking up this good ole Walk A Day thread for us once more.
I walked 2 miles tonight.
I walked 10 Mexican city blocks today, which was a lot for me. I don't know how many miles that would me, though. I walked, on my cane of course, to the supermarket and to the bank today. My physical therapist would be proud of me.
It's cold, wet and slick out so I did 10 min of cardio and paced around for 20 more at home. Feeling depressed and discouraged by how out of shape i am and how hard it is to lose weight.
