Me, I actually walked 8 blocks on my cane--to the SuperMas supermarket for ice and some soft drinks. I was really proud of myself.
Today, though, I'm feeling it in my injured ankle's Achilles tendon again, so I'm not totally out of the woods yet. I have the weekend to mend before I have to walk airports as I leave for home in the US from here in Mexico. Wish me luck.
I walked 2 miles tonight.
Glad you got 2 miles in, Rizen.
I hiked about 2 miles today.
I keep posting here about my ankle sprain because this thread started with your ankle sprain recovery. On Sunday I'm scheduled to take the pulpit again at one of my churches where I speak once a month. My ankle still can't go without my wearing a brace on it but I'll be able stand in the pulpit ok without crutches. I had to use crutches when I was last there in May. It's improvement, but boy is it slow!
I got the brace off of my ankle for the first time last night and slept without it on! Yay! Small improvement, but any improvement counts.
i walked 2 miles tonight.
I got to post this on my "Back and Grateful" thread today, Rizen, finally, and it relates directly to this Walk A Day thread because I finally got to walk yesterday!
"I AM getting better, finally! :-) Yesterday I took off the ankle brace I've had to wear for
3 weeks and was able to walk without it!!! It means so much when pain finally goes away...... YAY!"
i hiked 4.2 miles but lost my keys, dammit. hopefully they're in the trail parking lot.
