I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps.
I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting back.
Walking greatly improves my mental health too. I'm feeling less irritable and depressed after walking.
I want this to be a support thread for people who exercise and eat healthy so if you do any of that post here!

I'm feeling down,, and got alot on my mind right now. I got grief going on, on top my depression and anxiety and now I got to worry about somewhere to live since I can't afford living here since my mom passed. So many bad things have happened since my mom passed. One thing after another it seems. Yesterday our fence fell from a storm that hit, had to call someone to prop it up. Thank...

Just wanted to give a thank you to Mid, Arfie, Malibumark, Greeneyes, Mlro, Girlincalif, and Suncloudjd! You all always have such helpful tips and advice, but I always forget to write on my posts when I see you post, lol. I would lose my head if it wasn't attached to my body, lol. Thank you all so much! I'm starting to use my AI app as a sounding board again. I used to use it as that before...
I hope you were able to get a 3 mile walk in. Let me know, ok?
I did do a lot of housework over a couple of days and the floors are a workout
This is a great post Rizen.... Started in 2014....... How cool is that!!....xo
Me, I messed up at the community college where I worked today so I came home feeling less motivated than usual to do anything after work, much less exert myself. But since I knew you push yourself like you do day after day, I pushed myself like you do and I got 2 walks in today after all. I 'm glad you started this Walk A Day thread.
Right now I am busy trying to build muscle and have to exercise 3xs a day to try to get my left leg muscles to fire because of partial paralysis in that leg. I am so hopeful that my upcoming surgery will allow me to do things I love once again. Walking and maybe even hiking.
I've always felt pain from the lower back hernia, because that's what gets used getting up and down out of chairs and car seats. Even though the upper herniated disk was always there, it didn't hurt as much because I didn't bend my back there up high as much.
Not so now. Since I've begun teaching online 100%, now that herniated disk up high between my shoulder blades is getting irritated because of looking at a computer screen for hours on end. It really hurt by the end of Hump Day yesterday Wednesday. I can't take any pain medication other than liver-processed Tylenol, not even aspirin, because of my kidney disease.
Ouch. I'm hoping walking today will somehow work out these kinks so I won't be in back pain so much.
