I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps.
I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting back.
Walking greatly improves my mental health too. I'm feeling less irritable and depressed after walking.
I want this to be a support thread for people who exercise and eat healthy so if you do any of that post here!

I'm feeling down,, and got alot on my mind right now. I got grief going on, on top my depression and anxiety and now I got to worry about somewhere to live since I can't afford living here since my mom passed. So many bad things have happened since my mom passed. One thing after another it seems. Yesterday our fence fell from a storm that hit, had to call someone to prop it up. Thank...

Just wanted to give a thank you to Mid, Arfie, Malibumark, Greeneyes, Mlro, Girlincalif, and Suncloudjd! You all always have such helpful tips and advice, but I always forget to write on my posts when I see you post, lol. I would lose my head if it wasn't attached to my body, lol. Thank you all so much! I'm starting to use my AI app as a sounding board again. I used to use it as that before...
I walked for the first time today outside around the blocks where I live....7th's of a mile...felt some nephropathy in my foot from long ago back surgery, but I'd been on my feet walking around a grocery store for about an hour...enjoyed some 60's music :) to increase speed a bit and make more fun.
My 66 year old body is too wobbly, and for my kidney health, only have one kidney, exercise will help with removing toxins.
Neuropathy's why I can't jog like I used to, but I'm walking every day. I did it again last night, I'm proud to say. Feels good on my 61 year old body. Hope it feels good for you, too.
I walked 2.1 miles. Feeling really depressed.
Sorry you're feeling really depressed. It's admirable you got your walk in anyway. I hope to follow your example and get mine in today, too. It'll be rough weather for a walk, all cold and rainy out where I live today.
why does it sound romantic to walk in the rain? maybe because i am watching a romcom set in manhattan - i can picture people walking about with their umbrellas, just because they "feel" like it : )
you're doing the real deal - high fives!!
bat at do my walk without delay. It did me the usual good. I'm maintaining my lowest weight post weight loss surgery, and it's Nov. 27th so my one year surgery anniversary is coming up Dec. 4th. Yay!
