You might have read my rather negative responses to God belief, it is not meant in a nasty way, please please believe that. These are thoughts from me , a realist
If you have read at all what l have posted. in response to anyone has posted about God .. Please put me the cynical one on your prayer list, and tell me when i have been prayed for,,,,,,, and i will tell you if it has made a difference.
As i dont believe it will make any difference at all.
I have posted to some discussions, the following thoughts
1. I believe in God firstly, as something had to create us
2. Has anyone ever researched the Bible in its entirety, how it became to be, who had the input, how so many testaments were written, but the learned of that time only chose the popular testaments. How the Church over time has doctored the Bible so much beyond how it was originally written. , ( Because I have researched these things ) is it blind faith by what you have read from this doctored book, that is not true and correct, as to what was originally written .
2. God will not cure us of any disease, we will have to endure a life of pd, and then die, and not go to heaven anyway, as if you know your bible well only the chosen few go to heaven,,, the rest of us , well who knows where we go , as we wont end up in heaven ??? So what and why are we believing in??
3. Prayer does not help, it is the actions of individuals that make a difference, this is not God. This is concious thought by individuals, not influenced by God, even though they think they might be, it is basically called compassion ..
4. God ??? if this entity was gracious and kind would not have afflicted anyone with this disease, or anyone with any disease!
This scenario does not draw you closer to God, it might potentially draw you closer to others who are suffering all who are wishing for something greater, but nothing greater is there. And yes, i also know that God does not give us dieseases, but if god were the greater power, well there would be no diseases!
5. We are humans living in the human world, this is a disease, thats it,,, It is just that, no-one can cure PD , maybe science has a chance.
6.If heaven is everyones true belief , holding onto and thinking we all die and go to heaven, and all will now be perfect? Please think again
Yes i have also read about Heaven in the Bible, have you???) !!(which if you know your bible well , we wont go there, only for the chosen few) So we have to endure a physical life of PD, nothing will change, we wont go to heaven... If you ask me, i will gladly find the passage in the bible that states this fact.
7. I wish everyone would stop fooling themselves, with this God thing
8. Please dont hate me for my opinion.
9. Come on convince me, educate me with what you know, but dont be pissed at me when l come back to you with my thoughts
10. Lets call this healthy debate, of which i just might lose some Daily strength friends, or no not really l hope, as you all should be loving and forgiving

I can relate to much of what you say, being for most of my life an agnostic. Later I connected with spirituality, but it didn't come from the bible, nor from any religion, meaning to say: it didn't come from what I believed or didn't believe. The way I understand it is that the mind can't comprehend it, thus one can see a belief is something formed of thoughts, and one holds beliefs - things which one doesn't know is true or not - like just accepting they are true yet having no proof oneself of it.
Spirituality, the other dimension, the energy or (god) behind all that is visible or solid or manifest, that created all, that is creating all, can't be seen, because it's source. It comes before what is visible, like the hidden fuel giving us life. To access this dimension, one only needs to get totally quiet, to drop one's thinking, which can be done with intense desire to know that dimension, with intense prayer or asking.
Being a total cynic is a good place to be, because one won't easily accept a verbal or common belief, because other's think it's so. It means you are not a follower, just parroting words that don't have meaning for you. I think you are a bit like me, you need proof. Now the thing is that this proof won't come from what you think (thinking is like solid forms, it's all past tense, there is source in that, but by the time you see it, the source will be hidden to you), source/it just arises or comes when you get totally quiet, when you drop your need to figure things out, when you open yourself up and get very very quiet and wait for the answer to come.
I wondered why you called me a school yard bully ? I put forward a couple of thoughts, and respected all of the answers.
Dont judge me dear. If you are a true christian as you profess, Only God has the right to judge me after death.. Not you honey. Develop some of that beautiful christian compassion that the others have .

My proof of what is... that Christ was crucified on a cross and rose from the dead three days later and came back and promised not only salvation for myself, but for the entire world. I don't know what more proof anyone would need than that in itself!
New Age Spirituality takes God out and replaces him with energy, I just don't accept that at all! Being pessimistic can be dangerous, I don't Parrot words that have no meaning to me...I honestly do believe that when Christ died for me and the world, and said he went before us to make a place for me and everyone else in heaven... he has done just that! That's nothing more than purest FAITH...bottom line....the word of God himself....
You sure know how to stir things up. Ihat's a good thing. Next time leave it to God for his stuff and pick on someone else ok? People tend to have incredibly strong feelings about our Lord including me. Another thing we don't discuss lightly is politics. So try to find something inbetween like should boys be allowed to wear their pants hanging off their hind ends.
Now there is something we all have an opinion about. This last discussion has passed it's prime. But you keep up the great discussions I think deep down we have all enjoyed it and you got people writing . Good on you. You know I luv ya Sass

Finance huh that could be a good subject. I just lost about $70,000 of my retirement these last few months. Guess I will have to find at home work. Any ideas? It is a scary scary time here in the good old usa. Dumb running of the country and not just the president. That's my start to your subject. Have fun Sass.
