You might have read my rather negative responses to God belief, it is not meant in a nasty way, please please believe that. These are thoughts from me , a realist
If you have read at all what l have posted. in response to anyone has posted about God .. Please put me the cynical one on your prayer list, and tell me when i have been prayed for,,,,,,, and i will tell you if it has made a difference.
As i dont believe it will make any difference at all.
I have posted to some discussions, the following thoughts
1. I believe in God firstly, as something had to create us
2. Has anyone ever researched the Bible in its entirety, how it became to be, who had the input, how so many testaments were written, but the learned of that time only chose the popular testaments. How the Church over time has doctored the Bible so much beyond how it was originally written. , ( Because I have researched these things ) is it blind faith by what you have read from this doctored book, that is not true and correct, as to what was originally written .
2. God will not cure us of any disease, we will have to endure a life of pd, and then die, and not go to heaven anyway, as if you know your bible well only the chosen few go to heaven,,, the rest of us , well who knows where we go , as we wont end up in heaven ??? So what and why are we believing in??
3. Prayer does not help, it is the actions of individuals that make a difference, this is not God. This is concious thought by individuals, not influenced by God, even though they think they might be, it is basically called compassion ..
4. God ??? if this entity was gracious and kind would not have afflicted anyone with this disease, or anyone with any disease!
This scenario does not draw you closer to God, it might potentially draw you closer to others who are suffering all who are wishing for something greater, but nothing greater is there. And yes, i also know that God does not give us dieseases, but if god were the greater power, well there would be no diseases!
5. We are humans living in the human world, this is a disease, thats it,,, It is just that, no-one can cure PD , maybe science has a chance.
6.If heaven is everyones true belief , holding onto and thinking we all die and go to heaven, and all will now be perfect? Please think again
Yes i have also read about Heaven in the Bible, have you???) !!(which if you know your bible well , we wont go there, only for the chosen few) So we have to endure a physical life of PD, nothing will change, we wont go to heaven... If you ask me, i will gladly find the passage in the bible that states this fact.
7. I wish everyone would stop fooling themselves, with this God thing
8. Please dont hate me for my opinion.
9. Come on convince me, educate me with what you know, but dont be pissed at me when l come back to you with my thoughts
10. Lets call this healthy debate, of which i just might lose some Daily strength friends, or no not really l hope, as you all should be loving and forgiving

on the road to Damaskas his disciples met up with Jesus on there way to the upper room but they knew him not and they had been his constant companions for 2yrs
When you speak of specific religion you are not speaking of something of Gd's heart.
Religion is man's interpetation of what Gd wants. Christianity and Christian seek a relationship with Jesus drawn rear to me and I TO YOU
Example of a religion would be if the church head told the members certain people had reached saint hood , that one cracks me up.
Dont' laught too hard ''scriptues says the saint's are those that are set aside for the Lord, you guest it ,,yep that means all the believers in Christ.
I read a bit of anger in your words when you speak of heaven and how few are chosen, I WOULD BE TICKED OFF TOO. The 144000 are the tribes of the Jewish Nation. The number of Christian believers is not mentioned in numer.
I can only speculate the Holy Spirit is knocking on your door other wise this threat would have long since ended. I wish you peace that passes your understanding

I do believe in God, quite deeply, but I cannot, for an instant, believe that he deliberately creates these trials to test us or so that we can learn something, or that we did something to anger him and bring this upon ourselves.
I believe God might have a favorite baseball team. I do not, however, believe he would influence the outcome of a game. The game is up to us.
If God created Parkinsons-- and I'm not sure He or She did-- it was because He screwed up. And I forgive Him, even for that, as I hope He forgives me for my sins.
I will never, however, forgive Parkinsons. It will know no mercy from me or my family, we will give it not an instant of peace, contentment, or satisfaction.

I have always Questioned the faith and ask questions, wanting to learn and wanting the ability to discuss it openly without disrespect to anyones opinion . Wanting to learn.
All of your opinions on Daily strength have just proven that you are all so so gracious, all non judgemental and mature with your views, which is a beautiful thing, respecting eachothers views without hatred or judgement. And i have taken on board all of your thoughts.

My neuoro says that , well why do some get pd and have done drugs and alcohol in thier life, and why do others not get it and have also done drugs and alcohol... Karma????
Yes i have done most of the self destructive things that was on offer in life, but it was because i was lost, unloved as a child, and unloved all my life, lost lost ,,,,, but im good at heart, I love everybody, help anybody and dont judge anyone, as the god fearing should think..
I dont have the right to judge you as a human, and you dont have the right to judge me either.

I wish I had a crystal ball Peach to answer this one; however, I don't. I may never have this answer while I am alive and don't know if I will care once I am gone.
I know that some of the choices I have made in my life I wish I could go back and change, but I cannot and also it was through the experience of those choices that have helped to form the woman I am today! So having free will has allowed me to make choices and some of those choices definitely have made an impact on me personally.
We were never promised an easy life here on earth. We were promised an Eternity, and endless life beyond what we have lived or for some what they have endured here on Earth.
Free choice was given as we all know in the beginning; and God knowing the nature of our humanness sent the Redeemer to save us all.
Man made churches some claiming to be on the description of what God wanted....yet filled with just that Man Made Laws...
I put my faith in Christ, because he promised me he has a place for me... I am a sinner. I am; however, it is through him that I will be redeemed, because he said it. Redemption is there for everyone all of us!
Often when I meditate I see a door way high up, it appears to be out my reach, illuminating from the door is a very bright light the doorway is filled with this light...and I hear the words in my mediation...

Someday Peach I will reach that doorway and enter it, this is my faith this is what I believe has been promised to me and everyone else who chooses to accept...through the sacrifice of Jesus.
I certainly don't want to be one that judges others I do my best to remain focused on what I do and say and how it effects others and I try very hard to follow Gods Commandments, his rules; however, in my humanness I screw up that once again is where faith comes in to play. Dose that mean I never question the why's that we face in life? Of course I question them. I am human and often I don't understand much of what I see in the world today or why the Lord permits all that he does...but it is in and through my "faith" of what has been promised to me that keeps me going onward on my road in life and embracing those that I come in contact with as we are all on this journey together.

It appears you totally missed my point of frustration with her.
She says Gd dose not heal I give her a list of healing from diseases, the responce is not to add to that but rather attack from you?
Or are we to be politically correct and luke warm perhaps?

What is your problem?, are you physically ill, or mentally? Do you need prayer?, amazing things are accomplished thru prayer, something must have happened to you that you are so very biting and cynical. we are all hear going thru crisis, trying to do it the best way we know how, not judging or condemming, free to express our opinins with out being attacked or called names. Although i don't agree with Peachy's views, i don't condem her for them. Maybe you don't understand the reason for this site, DAILY STRENGTH, not daily blast! Hopefully you will have a better day and be given strength to face whatever your burdens are. God Bless
