Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.
Nothing satisfy them although they try. It seem like the person is so sensitive that they can hear something and run like crazy. There is no relief.
I know it is not easy, but I've heard that when the person is able to focus their mind on something else, they would probably feel better and not let simple things destroy them. I wish that was happening in the family member's life.
It's good that you're reaching out for help. You can get better. You WILL get better.
Talk to your counselor and ask them to put together a plan to help you with this.
Keep writing it out.... it helps to write. You are not alone. You are going to be okay.
