This breach of trust is often traumatizing for the faithful partner as well as the relationship, and support is often needed to heal emotionally and to decide whether or not the relationship should continue after...
I suspect my husband at the very least has been going out and lying to me about it. My gut tells me he is meeting someone when he goes. Last night I found his hair gel opened in the bathroom. I went to bed at 11. I can't think of a reason why he would do his hair if he was just playing video games at home all night. A few weeks ago, I found out that he had gone out with work friends and lied telling me he had to work. When I asked him about it he said "he knew I was feeling sick and he didn't want me to guilt him into staying home". I don't know how to talk to him about this. I'm genuinely scared to talk to him. I'm in a weird place sexually and if he needed to open up the marriage, it would deeply hurt my feelings, but I would try to understand and make it work. We are only having sex on average about once a week. I just want him to be honest with me. It makes me feel sick to my stomach to think he might potentially be sleeping with me at the same time of someone else and lying about it.

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...

How many times in a month does he go out with his friends? Because what you describe is not abnormal necessarily and if he feels you are controlling but his lifestyle is to drink with friends and now you don't like it and try to make him stay home, then he might lie to you.
Do you have any way to check his phone records for calls he is making, text messages, etc.? If you are on the account as the account holder or if you are on as secondary contact, you can get this information pretty easily from the cell phone provider. If you have a security camera device on the doors of your house or on the outside, you can check the history on those devices and see when anyone has left or come back.
If he is lying to you and this new "never home" pattern is a huge change for him, he may not come clean and tell you the truth. Some people do and some people never do, they lie to cover their lies. If he feels you guilt trip him to stay home with you, I'd suggest you stop that. Don't tell him to stay home any longer. Let him have "free reign" as that gives him less to blame you for. Because... we can not control someone else, we can only control ourselves.
I'd tell you to stop asking, talking, fretting, crying, etc. and start to observe him and listen to him. He sees you as controlling him by wanting him to stay home so absolutely stop saying anything to him about this. Do not be his jailer so to speak and start to take care of yourself instead of trying to control him. Get a little notebook and write down his comings and goings. Then you can evaluate what is going on. Having the little notebook with the times written down that he comes in and out of the house will tell you if your mind is catastrophizing or not.
I hope that he is not up to anything. But you won't know until you get some facts.
Has he cheated on you in the past? Or given you any reason to think he might now be looking to meet someone else?
