Firsty welcome to DS. It's a brilliant place for lots of help and support. I'm sure you will find it really useful, as I do too.
I'm going to be stimming around the same time as you so I would be happy to be your buddy as we go through this together. I start down regulating this thursday, so stimming will start roughly around the beginning of Oct. It's our first time at ICSI after finding out my DH has low sperm count with bad morphology. I seem to be ok, but we have been trying for over 2 years now and still not managed to get pregnant. I just hope that this treatment ends up with us becoming parents.
Wishing you all the love and best wishes as you start your journey.. you will be in my thoughts.

Lucy- I have been doing acupuncture once a week for the last month. Does it help my fertility? Don't know but it does help me not feel so anxious and emotional and that's worth the price of admission.
Nero- It only has to work once so stay in the positive zone.
GC- Everything about this experience has been scary but you can totally make it through, just stay focused on your goal.
Go Oct Buddies!
Well, I'm now on day 12 of down regulating, everything going well so far, apart from being super tired, and a few hot flushes here and there.
Going back to the clinic this Thursday to check whether the suppression drugs have worked and whether I can start on the stimms.
If everything goes to plan I'll be going through ER/ET week around 6th to 11th Oct.
This is my first round of IVF, using ICSI. I just pray that this will be my first, and last!
Good thoughts and baby dust to all of us going through treatment through October. Let's hope it's a lucky Month for us all!!
H xx
Good luck ladies. I'll be one month behind you.
I am from Canada so I'm not sure I use some of the same terminology...(stimms is new to me)... but basically I have a long protocol and have taken the pill for three weeks now, starting buserelin tomorrow for about a week and a half, then puregon and HCG med before ER.
All meds are small dosages since I am 26, not over weight (apparently this increases risk of OHSS) and our infertility comes from a male factor.
All going well, I should have my egg retrieval the week of the 18th. SO, I would love to be October buddies :) only this week did I start feeling so nervous and anxious about everything...
My friend suggested I join an online support group (something I didn't really know existed) and I am so happy I found you ladies! My husband is super supportive but I feel like I have no one to speak with who can really support me and maybe even help, provide insight and advice!!
Here are some of my worries:
- OHSS
- side effects of injections
- will it work??
- in Quebec we can only legally transfer one embryo, will it work? :s
(because IVF is paid for by our government)
- if they freeze my embryo due to OHSS, do frozen embryos take the
following month?
Anybody have thoughts??
So nervous and trying not to stress...thinking of you all wishing us luck to get through it all together xox
I'm scheduled for blood work next Thursday and hopefully I'll be starting my stims then. I'm only on Lupron right now. I have a really good feeling about this and feel in my heart that this is truly going to work!
You ladies are all in my prayers! And I can't wait 4 us all to get our POSITIVE results.
