I am new here, my husband and I start stims on Oct 1st. We have been trying for the last two years and I have endo. This is our last stop on this train after discovering that I only have one ovary and it had a large endometrioma on it. I had a lap in March and we did three back to back stimmed IUI's. I respond well but we just can't seem to get a connection. After the last iui our RE moved from Indiana to Texas to start a new practice so we are treking there. We are very excited but afraid to be hopeful. I would love some buddies to cycle with and to support to. I never knew so many people faced this problem, never knew it would be us.
Update is, now got 17 follicles, but loads more little ones that could possibly grow too. Doctor concerned about OHSS, and there are a few signs to show I have a mild form of it. On tablets (cabergoline) and have to reduce my stim drugs, and back in Friday to see whether things have calmed down. If not it looks like my eggs will be retrieved Monday, but they may need to postpone transfer for a few months until my body has calmed down. :-(
Upset with the set back, but crossing fingers that everything will sort itself out and we'll still be able to transfer this month.
Boo to having too many eggs!!!

Helen :( I'm sorry that things may be pushed back. BUT, maybe it's all happening for a reason...you can recover, go to your friend's wedding...and then do the transfer!? I really feel for you, I know it will all work out xoox be strong! I hear drinking lots and lots of Gatorade and Ensure helps with OHSS too! Hoping you will transfer this month!!
I am on day seven of my injections, went in for an ultrasound and I have some follies, but they're growing a little too slowly so they're increasing my meds. Hoping for a good ultrasound on Friday. According to my calendar I should have done my ER on Monday. It looks like I'll be off on a couple of days, oh well as long as there are some good ones:) Hope everyone is doing okay (and not feeling as bloated as I am!!!)
I know there is a reason for everything and I can only hope that Maverick is looking down on me and his dad and is proud of the choices we are making.
Sadie- They bumped my meds too,apparently that is very common. Sending you good egg vibes, Going for Large Grade A Dozen!
Helen- Hope you can still have your transfer. Maybe they can do what is called a hot IVF. One of the nurses in my RE office had one and ended up with a little girl from that transfer. Keep positive!
My DH and I are at the clinic right now, waiting for our ultrasound and BW. It's super early, our appointment is at 7:15am but we left much earlier to make sure we arrived on time. Hope the results are positive!!

Wishes and Dreams, what is a Hot IVF?
Reduced my meds for 2 days now, and although still feel pain in the ovary area, I don't feel as bad as I have done. I'm praying that I can carry on this cycle and have any fertilised embryos put back in next weekend.

Had my first ultrasound this morning, went well :) starting the stimms today!! 150 units of puregon. In my province, they can only legally transfer 1 embryo!! At this point, I am praying for us all, that I don't get OHSS and that it works, please God!!
Also, I am really not sure what to do...I can have the progesterone shots or the suppositories. My doc says both work, the ain during and after scare me with the injections but do the suppositories really work? And will I get an infection from them?? Thoughts ladies??

Hot IVf- The nurse did not give me the details. She just said that she suffered from ohss during her last Ivf. She said they moved up her timeline and she was still able to do her transfer. The next time I am in the office I will see if she is around and ask for details.

Just a quick update...I went for my bloodwork and ultrasound today and she seen 18 measurable follicles. She wants to see me back in the am and she will decide if we are doing the er on Sunday or Monday! She kept my meds at what she had lowered them to.

Wishes, you're doing really well by the sounds too. I hope your next ultrasound brings more positive news & everything is ready for next wednesday.
JBLL, I've been taking 150iu merional since last Wednesday but after my scan this Wednesday the doctors reduced it to .75iu, alongside a pill to try & reduce the signs of OHSS.
Scans today show that the fluid in ovary has calmed down so doctor happy to go ahead with ET Monday. Found 28 follies, with 20 over 10mm. Feeling very emotional today. Nurse had a problem getting blood from my arm so had to take it from my hand instead. Then she started explaining the ET procedure which upset me even more.
I've been given some sedatives to take Sun night & Mon morning as they could see how distressed I'm getting. Decided not to go to work today as feel so emotional about it all.
Just sick of it now. Sick and tired of feeling, well, sick and tired!
Sorry, this is rambling... Hope all u guys are doing better than me. I tell you, if our Childs first word is daddy they'll know about it!!!

This is day two of my stimms...next ultrasound is Tuesday morning. I am on 150 units of Puregon - anybody know what I will be feeling this weekend? Cramps? I am going wedding dress shopping with my sister and have friend and family dinners for Thanksgiving...
