Good luck to all of you!
I have my transfer tomorrow wish me luck!
I had my baseline ultrasound today and everything looks good. I have the go ahead to start menopur tonight.
I'm sorry you didn't have any to freeze. Fingers crossed that your two babies stick.
I am on Day 4 of Stims and feeling oh so bloated! I feel like if i could just fart for 5 minutes straight I would feel so much better! TMI lol. Any one else?? Tomorrow is ultrasound #2. Hoping to see some more follies tomorrow!
SO VERY IMPORTANT QUESTIONS FOR THOSE WHO HAD OHSS. LADIES PLEASE CHIME IN:
1. My doctor did not lower my dosage which kind of concerns me. If I'm at risk of over stimulating, wouldn't that be step 1?
2. They put me on a high protein/low carb/no potassium diet. And they also want me to drink lots of gatorade and protein shakes. Now, gatorade has over 100 grams of potassium per bottle, as does my protein shakes. It sounds like very contradictory advice. What to do?
3. Thanks to my new diet, I've realized that almost all foods we eat have potassium. So what in the world are we supposed to eat beside meat? No fruits, veggies, dairy...lord help me get through the next few days!
Heather: Wow 23 follicles! Thats amazing! Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
Paris: I was horribly bloated and very uncomfortable! So I can relate. My doctor said to take it easy, drink water, and Gatorade to get the salt back on my body. My ovaries are enlarged and I am having trouble breathing, so I am not sure if walking for me is the best :(. I was diagnosed yesterday with mild hyperstimulation and they are keeping an eye on my weight since their is fluid accumulating in my uterus, which they do not want to get to my diaphragm then to my lungs! Trying to take it easy, because have a hard time catching my breath! As for eating I would like lean meats like chicken, fish (salmon is great), and spinach would be good i would think, not too much water in that. Every article I read says high salt?
I am currently waiting to take the pregnancy test on 2.16!
Paris sorry in can't help you with anything about OHSS. I hope everything works out well.
Heather I'm happy for you with 23 follies. I hope I can produce as many. Fingers crossed for you.
You gals are a little ahead of me. I'm on stim day 7, still got a few more days to go. I started ganirelex today and it stung for like 45 mins! My skin looked like I burned it! Ahh, as if follistim and menopur wasn't bad enough!
Shazzette - How long have you been stimulating? Do you know which protocol you are on?
Paris - I see you are on the ganirelix agonist protocol. I am on the micro flare Lupron antagonist protocol, but if it doesn't go as planned they are going to stop the process, and go to the ganirelix agonist.
You are all actually ahead of me, since I start stim tomorrow. The 23 follies were my basal count, so hopefully they all will continue to grow throughout the stim process. Once they all start growing I am sure that I will feel pretty bloated. I know I did last time with 11.
I have not experienced OHSS in my past IVF cycle, so I don't have any advice on that really. I was told that to try to prevent it to drink plenty of water once I start the stims. I normally drink a liter and a half per day anyway, so I am thinking I'll try to boost it up to at least 2 liters.
