Healthy Sex Support Group
This community is dedicated to an open discussion about healthy sex and sharing thoughts and feelings about sexuality and improving one's sex life. Most active adults desire to have an active and fulfilling sex life, both for themselves and also their partner. Here we discuss common sexual challenges faced by both men and women.

The bigger issue here is not that these actions took place, but what you do from here on out. It doesn't sound like either of you are happy in the marriage. I think that if a marriage goes through a hard time, but is otherwise worth saving, the couple should do their best to work through the problem. I don't know if that is the case for you.
It doesn't sound like your wife is willing to work on this. I think she has already mentally left the relationship, but feels unable to psychically leave due to her personal or financial circumstances.
It sounds like you are both trapped due to financial reasons unless she is will to go and marry this man. If you have limited financial means I don't see how you could divorce her and afford to pay spousal support and support yourself at the same time.
If you are both miserable but can't leave the marriage, and both want other people, maybe it's time to have a serious discussion about having an open marriage living arrangement. You don't have to do that, it's only a suggestion, but I hope you will think about it.
Otherwise, your only choice may be to ask your wife to go to counseling with you and work on the marriage. If that is what will happen, you will both have to give up looking outside the relationship to get your needs met.
I wish you the best of luck whatever you do.
Hugs
Fastmatt I think you are the one who needs counselling. You are coldhearted with a brain the size of a pea.
I think EbbNflow is right. You can't go back - it's about "what you do from here on out".
Even though this situation sounds complex, and is causing you both a lot of hurt it seems that you both still care about each other in some ways. Hopefully you can work together to transition to a different - happier and healthier future for both independently.
Take care Bob! Wish you the best.
