Mascots scare the living shit out of me. Easter bunny at the mall...fuck you!

I had the colts mascot, Blue @ work and got the privilege of seeing behind the custome. The guy in there was a Hottie McDreamy to the Max!

I'm sure that's not always the case, though.

I am not a fan of clowns, or those kind of performers in general, really.

Reason why I've never been to and never plan on going to Disney. Too many of those freaky things walking around. Partner insists he's taking me to Disney, I insist he's going by himself. He's been there a couple times already, I think he wants to take me just to torment the hell out of me and it' ain't happenin'! I don't like puppets, ventriloquists or clowns either.

I love going to the Renaissance Faire though, I can't figure out why I love going there. I do get freaked by Ded Bob though. Scary!

Ren faire is very cool - used to go every year. Want to go to medieval times so bad though!

Arem - Those ones aren't bad. I wouldn't even consider those mascots. The ones I'm talking about are the full on body suits, huge heads, can't see who they are type mascots. Hell no.

I agree - that type are a bit creepy.

When you see them from a distance - like in a parade or something like that - it's not so bad, but up close it is a bit freaky. I've seen a lot of small children hide behind their parents or simply start crying when one of those types mascots or characters comes up to them. Agree on the clowns, and ventriloquists too.

I used to hide behind my boys, they were my protection shields.

Leather. You don't have to go to the magic kingdom. I like Epcot and MGM much better.
We went to animal kingdom. It was when it first opened. Waited 2 hours on the line for the safari but we didn't see any animals when we went through. The guide said they must be eating and we could get online again.
Yeah, just what I wanted to do with a six year old.

The easiest time we had at Disney was when we took my mother. We had her in a wheel chair because she never would have been able to walk all over With a wheel chair they let you by pass some of the lines.

And I think they have other ways now to handle the lines. I think it's special tickets.

I could probably handle that if there are no character people besides dealing with the crowds. I like very quiet, laid back vacations. That's why we go to his folks beach house mid or late September, no crowds on the beach and board walk, no tourists.

even though i am really looking forward to some family time, easter irks the hell out of me. i hate seeing all of these posts saying, "remember the reason for the season!" yes. please. lets all remember that easter is based upon a wiccan fertility ceremony (hence all the rabbits and eggs!) and the christians decided to celebrate the birth of christ around the same time in attempts to convert the wiccans over to christianity. ok. rant done. sorry if i offended anyone. i believe in christ, that he existed, that he was a wonderful man, etc. but he is NOT the original reason for the holiday.

All holidays pretty much irritate the crap out of me.
We humans will make up all kinds of crap as an excuse to spend money on stupid stuff and put on a show.

I do think the fun aspect for the kids is fine and I enjoyed participating with my daughter when she was younger. Maybe if I ever have grandkids I won't be such a humbug anymore.
