I think he was a goat in his former life.. Cough drops were his favorite, I had to keep them locked up in the bread drawer or he would find them. He would eat the box, bags and wrappers too.
Bears will smash in and rip off the roof of a car for a tube of toothpaste. They have a very strong sense of smell similar to dogs, and they are eating machines. They are especially ravenous in early spring (right after winter), and again in late summer & fall - when they are preparing for their winter hibernation.
good to know that grapes and raisins arent good either but like lettuce he wont touch those!
ive said this before but i still find it odd that the dog will eat poop but bypass lettuce....hmmm.....
