I feel your pain.

We should have a day of morning for what was once a great nation, but has now been taken over by brainless morons who wish to surrender their freedom, future and rights for the empty promises of bread and circuses and free phones.

The Roman economy had been ravaged by inflation and by the high taxes that were needed to pay the military. The military was weakened by endless civil wars and recruited barbarians to fight in the place of Romans; the government was bloated with bureaucracy, and many of the lower class people felt absolutely no allegiance to Rome and had no interest in defending it. Bread and circuses became the method that the ruling class of ancient Rome used to maintain their power and control of the people. This method kept their sheep fat and happy, even as they fleeced them and sent them off to plunder the free world.

On a good note, the marriage amendment was rejected here in Minnesota! Vote No won :)

I'm having a great hair day. The weather is beautiful 66 degrees and sunny. I wish I wasn't at work.

whyme------------for a minute i thought you were celebrating that they rejected it, as in, it was still banned for gays to marry. i have been biting my tongue a lot, but i was going to lose it on that. lol. but, i calmed down enough to go research and realized it was the opposite. glad i didnt flip for no reason.

We should not be mourning the results of the election. Instead, we should be praising our system, flaws and all. With that, there's always hope. If we don't like something, we DO have the ability to change it. It may not seem like it, but we do. Not all nations can claim that ability.

People voted, the results are in, so let's make the best of it. I did not vote for Obama but I support our system. If he can't make it work in an 8-year span, then we'll have another option to rectify it 4 years from now.

Now, can we talk healthy sex? :)

Des - When I first heard it was rejected I was actually really sad cause I thought we lost, only to find out it was a good thing :) My sister is a lesbian so I am definitely for gay rights!
