I love thanksgiving.. It's all about eating and not stressing over presents....but this will be the second one I am by myself. It's hard to be alone, harder to go to someone else's family..It makes me feel like a charity case.

I will have to search for the smallest turkey I can find.(Don't care for turkey breast, need to see the wing and leg.) and make small portions of everything else.

That sounds painfully like Thanksgiving for my family this year. Each year, hubby and I do Thanksgiving with his family and Christmas with mine, or vice versa. When we're with his family, my family never seems to get together. I still don't understand how my family's coming together got to depend on me.

Viv, if you get an invite, go ahead and join another family's get-together because they'd be lucky to have you!
My Thanksgiving will be small and quiet, I guess. It's always been a big thing at my ex in-laws' but of course I won't be going now! First real holiday post-split. My kids will go over there in the evening, and I'll either be by myself or with my dad. I hope he comes down.

Recon, every time I had surgery I was asked by almost everyone in the hospital what surgery I was having , and when the doctor circled where he would be cutting me, he had me initial my stomach acknowledging where.. One time I took the marker and drew a happy face on my abdomen..maybe that's why I got butchered? Lol, not really, the butchering was a few surgeries before I did that...

i got both my classes! thank god! AND financial aid is covering my CNA since i am taking it for a pre-req to the LPN program! i am soo soo soo soo grateful right now! now i need to make sure that i am REALLY committing myself to all my studies and maintaining AT LEAST a B average so i have an edge into getting into the LPN program!
