Ok. well YES there were all sorts of people. I can honeslty say I don't recall any of the old hippie couple type, However, not everyone was naked at once. The game was a LARGE version of the original. Each block was about 10x4 (inches) and each block had something written on it. Everything from dance like a chicken to take your shirt off. Now, anyone could play the game. First you draw out a block and if you get it out successfully, you do whatever the block says. Once your turn was over, most people would put their clothes back on or whatever. HOWEVER, if you were the one to knock it over, you had to strip naked and rebuild the huge stack while naked. We only got to see this twice in the time we stood by to watch. One guy and one girl. Everyone else had their clothes on while sitting on the logs around the bonfire....well most of them had all their clothes on.

Gomes-I have been several times and the Faire itself is "G" rated for the most part. It is the camping area that gets crazy.

No ibom- I did not get naked (at the bonfire)....after the bonfire....hmmm...I might have =)

I had something on my mind that I was going to post on this thread but I forgot what that was.

So, I'm in a chatroom and someone tells me not to take stuff personally. I tell her it's easier said than done and she says otherwise. I told her why don't I just leave so she can stop being a pain, then I left. If she won't begin to be understanding then I don't need to be in that chatroom when she is in the room. I swear some people piss me off.

i went and took my first college placement test yesterday. i blew away the grammar and english comp section. crappy on the math section. but there were only 7 math questions? or something like that. it was really strange. i knew a good chunk of it but just didnt know how to follow through to the end. so hubs is going to study with me real hard tonight and tomorrow night and then i will go take my other one on friday.

Awesome, it doesn't really matter unless it's for a job or a grade in school. If you're talking amongst friends, who gives a shit?

Speaking of which I had an English teacher in 9th grade tell me to talk proper grammar or leave her class. I proceeded to tell her "If it doesn't affect my school work, who really cares how I talk?" Needless to say she couldn't answer me with any form of a comeback worthy enough to be taken into thought. She also never kicked me out of her class.

Then I had an English professor in college say the exact same thing I said to my 9th grade teacher, about how people talk. Needless to say she earned my respect with that.

So really, in how people converse on the day to day basis, who gives a shit? Other than an English teacher..

recon---------------well, i will tell you that when people speak in slang to PURPOSELY sound ignorant and ghetto, it bothers me a LOT. i remember walking through the mall one day. mind you, we live in a well off area. i am in the northen area which is a lower class but just south of me are some seriously wealthy people. it is a good area, low crime rates, some of the best schools in the nation. i walk past a person on a cell phone who says, "we be at da mall. where you be at?" and i wanted to LOSE IT. to speak THAT improperly? man, you really have to be TRYING. for what purpose? i have no clue.

Sadly, the dumbing down of America includes our ability to write and speak "properly". What is "proper"? Well, language evolves, but what it is evolving to is a lazy language. A language that is devoid of depth. Just look at that Beyonce song someone posted the other day. Sorry, but that is some lazy, crappy writing. In fact I don't define it as writing at all.

I compare it to art. Some say they're "artists" because they can throw some paint across a canvas, or take a snapshot using a digital camera and call it art. I say bogus. ART to me is something that cannot be duplicated without supreme talent. Can I copy a Michaelangelo painting? No way. Can I put forth words on paper as unique and timeless as Thoreau? No way. To do that, it would take years and years of practice, and even then I'd not likely be any match to them. These people spent their whole lives focused on developing these talents.

Some may disagree. Some may say that our language has evolved into what it is today. I say in fact it has devolved into sheer laziness. Art, writing, speaking -- we speak the way we do now and we write the way we do now because we're lazy. Lazy as a society.

when people don't speak correctly, I tend to correct them. - sometimes i just do it in my mind...It comes from my Mother and Aunt, both teachers, both constantly correcting us - and we would speak incorrectly to annoy them. I don't think they ever caught on.

Sometimes I don't talk to good....other times I speak well. and other times..I don't give a crap at all. Even though, having command of the English language can come in handy and make people think that you are egimicated.
