My parents seem to think that they're above all this economic crisis business, just because they're well off. I felt quite ashamed of them this week, first for scrapping a 4 year old car because "we don't need to sell our old rubbish!", then for complaining that they couldn't visit their house in Nice more than twice this year because of "needing to make the right impression."

Also, they completely belittled my brother in front of company at a family gathering, because he's just finishing medical school and said he was interested in joining the armed forces. Obviously to be an army doctor, but my parents told him he was "throwing his life away to be a foot soldier! Unbelievable, what a waste of life! Soldiers are people who couldn't make it, academically."

Wow, just wow. Me and my brother were reeling and probably both hoping we were adopted.

I just saw a commercial for America's got talent.. It should be called america's freak show.

i am so tired. but, i am off to go tape some more so i can start painting the walls of my husbands mancave. i want to have this whole thing finished this week! then off to pick up my daughter, run to lowes to see if they will trim these blinds, get my allergy shot, then taekwondo later...why am i always so on the go?
