How important is Financial stability to you?
onetoomany
Hi~
I would like to get everyones input on if they look for financial stability in a partner.
I guess that can mean something different for everyone.
I am not a gold digger I have dated men who are well off and I did not and would not take advantage of them.
I have to say though that I don't want to date a man who is not financially stable. (I am not saying he needs to be a millionaire). I don't want a life time of financial struggle.
I do not consider myself a shallow person at all but then I wonder if me thinking this way is shallow?
I am not sure what to think about all this...I guess I just realized this recently.
input?

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

Re: financial stability....you bet it's important! I worked hard for my six figure salary...sitting for state exams and long grueling hours with a good amount of risk thrown in. A man I'm with has to have a similar passion and drive. It's a turn on big time :-)
Time will give you what you are looking for.
God Bless!
Hell, my x husband would still come get me if I broke down on the side of the road, and it's been five years since our divorce, and he's remarried. I just know he WOULD come if I needed him to.
There is just a basic sense of doing for others simply because life happens, and sometimes we need a hand.
This guy sounds like a drag.
I have always been pretty good with money. I make a fair living and don't need to spend a lot of money to be satisfied with my life. I don't mind splurging every once in a while but I'm not a spender. My ex couldn't control her spending and shuffled debt from one credit card to another (with several in her name without me knowing about them) and racked up a huge debt. Because of my experiences, I am more cautious with spending and pay more attention to the financial stability of those around me. Fortunately, my wife is on the same page. She likes to spend more than I do but we agree before hand what we can afford and keep to a budget.
I think a DUI would be a deal breaker for me too. Maybe if it wasn't recent and it was in their past I could understand that. But I would lose a lot of respect for a man that drove after drinking.
i have been i guess what u could call a gold digger in relationships or when "seeing" men in the past, not so much like oh hes got cash ima love up on him... more like he had cash luckily , he was generous , and i didnt refuse his generosity.
it is definitely much more comfortable to be able to not worry how ur next bill will get paid or next groceries will be bought...
as opposed to now.
my bf can not work outside the house ( for legal reasons i wont get into , most in my journal entries back in 2011..) ... and he makes about 40 dollars ever couple days , sometimes not in a week. he works from home fixing computers for 40 bux a pop no matter what is wrong or how long it takes ( competition and working from home make it impossible to charge more ) this basically provides our cigerettes for the day and dinner or whatever ( on the days he gets a customer)
i have a fixed income very very small... can barely make the bills but i do it.. its pretty much on my shoulder. i made the choice when i asked him to move in knowing that it was going to be this way, to do what i had to do, cause i love him with all my heart
am i miserable financially> absolutely . i day dream of when i was comfortable and had a man .or men , ( dating opposed to committed relationship) buy me a truck , or new wardrobe for work ... etc
but did i ever love anyone in my life money or no.. not till now.
i guess for me, i sacrafice financial stability for true love.
dont know which made me or makes me happier, but i wouldnt trade him for the world,,, or the money :)
