Hello Friends,
this thread is for people who check their weight daily on a digital weighing machine (most scales show difference of .1 kg/ .214 lbs
this thread is to make us accountable, because people like me feel more accountable if they have to report their progress to someone daily,
i have weak willpower when it comes to combat yummy temptations, and unless someone is scolding me and nagging me it will be difficult for me to fight alone.
So i am starting this thread for people like me, i hope (and know) that almost all of the members of this group have much better and strong willpower then me and you people may not find this idea worth buying but for me it is a necessity to be accountable, so anyone having likemind is very welcome to post her weight check daily here (weight should be checked empty stomach, after having morning trip to toilet and if possible in light clothes e.g. night wear)
and others who are not posting their weight check daily are welcome to scold and nagg to me at least ,
i will be looking forward to your support (and scolding when weight gained, and offcourse praise and encouragement when i lose the fab)
REMEMBER SCALE DOESN'T LIE AND ALL OUR SINS CAN BE DETECTED BY IT...................
@gomez: I thought I had gained weight due to bad eating, and surprisingly I had lost. Don't be afraid to weigh yourself.
@shy: It is bitter cold here too...I hate the winter. I did zig zag cycling like Raymh is suggesting to break a plateau. I had high calorie/high carb days then I would cycle to low calorie/low card days. Don't get discouraged...I bet you will be in your 140's before you know it!
Hey Simba,
Congrats on your steady weight loss. Keep it up and you'll be at your target weight in no time!
Also, thanks for the explanation of the zig zag concept.
I'm going to continue what I've been doing and see if I am actually stuck on a plateau. My problem is the weekends. Even if there is nothing planned, I can suddenly get an invite and have to attend one function or another and I always end up gaining some weight back. Then i spend the majority of the week trying to get back to where i was and hope for another pound loss on top of that. This is how it has been happening for me except that, during this last yo-yo, I think I lost motivation somewhere and didn't honestly follow my plan. I was starting to think that all my efforts are just going to get messed up again. When I honestly want to stay committed and stay home for a weekend, that's when we end up doing something or going somewhere where the choices are not necessarily the best.
Basically, I had a great opportunity last weekend to hopefully get into the 140's and I blew it. I was just so frustrated and I didn't really try.
So.. I will continue with my plan and see how it goes for the rest of the week. If I am not budging, then I will certainly follow your plan for breaking the plateau!
Today... November 28
I stepped on the scale and I am happy to say that I am 150.5 lbs..... again! This is my lowest for this weight loss journey and I keep hitting it only to gain weight again. Not this time! It's all downhill from now! lol
I am determined and committed to getting where I want to be!
Sorry for the long post.... I just need to tell someone about my frustrations!
BTW, I have a light dusting of snow on the ground. It's pretty to look at but, man! Is it cold!!!!
i don't remember winter being this cold! lol
November 29
151.0 lbs.... went up 0.5lb
I ate everything I should have and followed my plan then, it hit me in the morning when i weighed myself. I just couldn't understand why I ended up gaining a half pound. I overate protein. I weighed the type of protein wrong. I mistook one protein for another. DUMB MISTAKE and now I have to pay for it.
Oh well. Live and learn. I can't do anything about it so I'll just make sure I'm on the ball today and I should see the weight come down by tomorrow. I hope. LOL
150.0lbs!!!!!
I dropped one pound overnight! I did a silly mistake two days ago and it cost me. Yesterday I made sure I was doing everything right and the proof is here.
My plan is fool proof and only a fool can prove that she can't do it..... just like I did two days ago! LOL
As long as I focus and stay on the wagon, the weight will come off.
What a way to end the month and look forward to the new month ahead!!!!
I'm so excited because this is the lowest I have been and I am now on my last 10lbs!!!!!!
I know it will be hard but this was just the motivation I needed to get me back on track and not falter.
Thanks for the encouragement Raymh!!! It really means a lot!
I hope I don't get stuck at this weight.... if I do, I will try that zig zag thing you talked about.
Looks like you are maintaining your weight, which is great considering all that yummy food you must have had during Diwali!
Keep it up and your weight will start to fall off.
Today I weighed in at 150.0 lbs. This is good news. I hope to be able to now break into the 140's.
I wish the scale did lie!!!!
I weighed in at 151.0 lbs!
Apparently I gained one pound overnight!!!!!! I don't know how! Oh.... wait.... I may know. I overate salad last night. I ate waaaaaaay more than I should have. I hate measuring salad and find it a little difficult when you bring it in from outside! That's what it is. I overate my veggies!
Here's to another day of getting back on track!
I am up 1 lb. I expected a gain this week because I have not been able to exercise as much. I started babysitting 12+ hours a day, and have no tome for exercise. Plus, I have not been closely tracking my calories. I can't wait to get back to my normal routine!
Shy you will make it to the 140's...just don't give up! Raymh keep up the good work!
Weight is 151.0 lbs.
Clearly I'm stuck. Time to reevaluate stuff.
1 Try the zig zag method.
2 Actually watch what I'm eating. Instead of guessing and hoping. Lol
3 Start an exercise program. Hopefully this will get me out of this rut.
I've got to pick one or all three. I guess all three could work together.
Thanks Simba. Only being up one pound is not bad considering what you're going through. I probably would have gained 5 lbs by now.
I do hope your life falls back into a routine soon.
Weight 150.0 lbs !!!!
I really didn't do anything yesterday with portion control and getting all my foods in. In fact, I over ate some things and didn't even get other things in. Yet, this morning I step on the scale and I'm down a pound and am at my lowest again! I don't know. I don't know what happened but I'LL TAKE IT !!!!!!
I CAN'T BELIEVE IT !!!!!!!
I am 149.0 lbs!!!! I did it ! I broke into the 140's......
Maybe my body was tired of being at 150.5 151.5 range and decided to give me a push to lose my weight!!! LOL. I don't know. I didn't even drink any water yesterday!!!!
Thank you soooooooo much, Simba! I guess my body is back into gear.....
I'm so honoured that I'm inspiring you to reach your goals. My desire is to inspire others. Whether a little bit or a lot. That's why I religiously post every day (sometimes I'm out of town and cannot) to hopefully show all of you that our weight loss journey is all about the ups and downs... the plateaus.... the emotions.... the friends and family.... the food.
It's a learning experience for all of us. I guess I just wanted my story documented and heard by others in the same boat.
You can do it Simba! Just one small step at a time!! Make a mini goal and stop at nothing to obtain it. Then make another and so on.
I'm here for you.
I'm truly bursting at the seams..... actually not, as that would imply I've gained so much weight. lol.
I'm actually bursting with excitement !!!! Are you ready for it???? Ready ??? I dropped one pound overnight and my new weight is 148.0 lbs !!! What??? I know, right??? I'm so thrilled !!!!! I only have 8 more pounds to lose to get to my goal weight by December 31, 2012.
My body has somehow jump started itself and is allowing me to lose weight again.!!!
