Hello Friends,
this thread is for people who check their weight daily on a digital weighing machine (most scales show difference of .1 kg/ .214 lbs
this thread is to make us accountable, because people like me feel more accountable if they have to report their progress to someone daily,
i have weak willpower when it comes to combat yummy temptations, and unless someone is scolding me and nagging me it will be difficult for me to fight alone.
So i am starting this thread for people like me, i hope (and know) that almost all of the members of this group have much better and strong willpower then me and you people may not find this idea worth buying but for me it is a necessity to be accountable, so anyone having likemind is very welcome to post her weight check daily here (weight should be checked empty stomach, after having morning trip to toilet and if possible in light clothes e.g. night wear)
and others who are not posting their weight check daily are welcome to scold and nagg to me at least ,
i will be looking forward to your support (and scolding when weight gained, and offcourse praise and encouragement when i lose the fab)
REMEMBER SCALE DOESN'T LIE AND ALL OUR SINS CAN BE DETECTED BY IT...................
Thanks Simba! I feel sooooo much better today. I was busy doing errands that I didn't get done the rest of the week because I was too sick.
@Alex; keep up the good work! You will reach your goal of 200 in no time!
@gomez: Wow. That's an incredible weight loss for one day! These days are gifts and take them as you get them! Good for you as now you are in the 190's.
Well today I woke up and dropped one pound! I don't know where this came from either but I'm at a new low since I started my weightloss journey.
November 8;
152.0 lbs.... thank goodness! I thought I saw the scale wavering from 152.0 to152.5. I'll take the 152.0. It's probably due to the incredibly delicious fried Popeyes chicken I had last night. The taste still linger on....
Hi Simba,
The plan I'm following makes me weigh myself everyday. That way I can see what I've been doing right in losing the weight and continue with it, or it lets me see what I've been doing wrong by gaining weight and lets me correct it before more damage is done.
For example, I know that I consumed more calories than I should have yesterday and the scales show it today... I am 152.5 lbs. I know what I did wrong and I just need to fix it.
Today is going to be tough as i have to drive out of town two hours there and two hours back. All this before 4:30pm at the latest.... just in time to pick up my kids from the bus stop! I know I'll be eating foods that I probably shouldn't but,,,,
I'm going to try and be good!
Oh yes. Thanks for your well wishes on my weight loss. I know you will have good results when you weigh in,,, you can just tell by your excitement.
November 10
I was good yesterday. I was so good. I ate out and chose very healthy options. I ate a very light supper as I was not hungry. I ate what I was missing (for my plan) for supper. I even had an early night.... don't quite know when the last time was and.......
I dropped one pound! YES... I dropped one pound! I weighed in at 151.5 lbs... A NEW LOW.....
I'm so excited but, my excitement is underlined with worry. I am invited to a dinner party this evening and a luncheon tomorrow. Both are out of town. At one, there will be lots of meat options and at the other, only vegetarian options.... like that matters. I LOVE FOOD!
I hope I can survive this weekend with minimal damage. I hope I can repeat what I did yesterday.
Have a great weekend every one and I'll see you on weigh-in day.
Hello friends,
i am really very sorry that i am not posting these days,
due to diwali celebrations (which will continue till 20 th november) i am really very busy, my house is full of guests, everyone coming and going, daily shopping, meeting with relatives, lots of preparations as this is our first diwali in our newly bought house.
also i am searching new school for my daughter, due to her special needs we have to be very careful in her school selection so we are visiting schools too
i think that i will be able to catch up after 20th november only and be regular in posting,
till then best wishes to u all......
keep the good work on..........
Hi Raymh...
Good to 'see' you again. I was wondering where you've been!
I also attended a very good friends party on Sunday! They were celebrating pre-Diwali with good old friends! We reminisced about the old times and shared so much laughter and good food!
On Saturday I attended a good friend's daughter's achievement... she was celebrating her 'Ameen". Again, we laughed and had a great time! The food was so good and I even tried to burn some of it off by doing a 'Dance Revolution" to a Bollywood song. Well... let's just say that I'm not good at it! My hands were flying in the opposite direction and I couldn't stop laughing. But... what a workout!!!
I ate kabaabs, palak aloo, cholay, bhunna gosht, chicken breast curry, malai paneer, gobi aloo, dhal makni, rice, naan, etc. I also ate so much Indian burfi and was even given a box as a parting gift!
Oh yeah. I almost forgot... and this is probably the reason that the weight tipped! We had to stop by the in-laws on the way home. We live two hours away from where we were and the in laws are one hour away. There was something we had to bring to them, unexpectedly. So... we also ate haka noodles; chilli chicken, salt and pepper fish and tandoori style fried rice.
The final verdict? I gained two pounds! How could I not???
so I am now 153.5 lbs.
@Raymh: Enjoy your celebrations! Look forward to your posts after the 20th.
@Shy16: Sounds like fun! I think all of our weight is going to be up & down during this holiday season. I know mine has for the past month with birthdays & Halloween.
Good news for me...finally have a loss of 1.5 lbs this week! I'm surprised I lost this week, because I allowed myself to splurge on too many fun size candies! My husband & I decided it is time for us to tweak our diets. We are tired of gaining & losing the same 2-3 lbs. I'm going to start looking up more healthy dinner recipes.
@Simba: You are so right about that! My weight goes up on the weekends of parties/events and I struggle/work really hard all week to get it back down. Sometimes I just let it go and enjoy seconds of things I should be avoiding but only because I'm frustrated. I figure that I already gained back some weight so I might as well enjoy a few things and then jump on the wagon again..... then it takes even longer to lose the weight!
AGH.
Congratulations on your weight loss and I hope you can find recipes to kick those unwanted pounds away!
This time I said I was not going to be dumb.... I was going to jump on that band wagon and continue my weight loss journey. I was going to measure everything and not take guesses and... it worked!
Yeah!!!! I lost one pound overnight! My new weight is 152.5 lbs. One more to go and I'll be where I was on Saturday.
