Thanks, Simba!
I'm pretty excited but I also know that I will gain after this weekend. I just got invited to another dinner! I'm going to try but it will be hard.
I hope I don't do too much damage.
I'm maintaining the 140.5 lbs today. It feels great to see that number on the scale... I've been so close and then there's a family gathering.... and here we go again.
You're doing great. Keep it up. Have you shopped for a dress yet? You've got two weeks!
I hope you don't gain too much during Easter. Good luck trying to abstain!
The scale is showing 141.0 lbs today. I don't know why.
Anyways, I'm off to my mom's and I know I'll gain during the weekend. Here's hoping that Monday or Tuesday (whenever I get back and can weigh myself) won't be so hard on the motivation.
Have a great weekend and I'll check in when I get back.
I'm back and I gained weight. I knew I would.
My new weight is 142.5 lbs.
So now I just have to work harder to get it off again. I gave myself until mid-April to achieve my goal. Let's hope I can do it.
my long trip has been very successful, i have achieved A LOT, i am very happy, it was very crucial for me, now my career is secure for whole life, a huge weight is off my shoulders and heart
my daughter is doing well and improving, from today she will start her new school, i hope that we be successful in this too
so from july onwards i will be starting my career once again,
now i have 3 months, this is my dead line, i have to reduce as much as possible in these 3 months and then continue to reduce after that too
Weight on 1st April 90 kg (198.4 lbs)
final goal weight 60 kg (132.3 lbs)
time duration to achieve this goal -- not specified
i will be very regular from now on
i am bubbling with energy and enthusiasm
shy, u will achieve it soon
and simba u r also doing gr8
Glad to see you back Raymh! Congrats on your career & your daughter's new school! :)
I weighed in on Monday, April 1st at 173 lbs. Then when I weighed in today I was at 174 lbs. So I gained 3 lbs. I have been eating a lot of sweets from the Easter holiday. Now that the weather is getting warmer I am more motivated to get back on track. I am tired of being stuck in the 170's!
@simba01- thank u dear
but my daughter's new school was a crash bang experience, very bad, we are not gonna send her there now, tomorrow morning we will start searching for another school
LOL!!!
The ONE day I don't post and both of you are back! LOL..... It's nice to have you guys around again...
I got so extremely busy yesterday with sorting my basement out and getting rid of boxes and boxes of stuff to be donated or just to go to the garbage!
April 4: I dropped 0.5 lbs! New weight is 142.0 lbs
April 5: Thankfully, still 142.0 lbs. My DH took me out for coffee and, of course, I had to take a few nibbles (or more) of his extremely large cake. I might have actually eaten half of it!
Okay girls. Here we ALL go again. WE HAVE to get this extra weight off of us. So how are we going to do it?
@Simba: Sorry you gained a couple of pounds during Easter.... I totally know how you feel. However, let's not let a few pounds discourage us from reaching our goals. Even if they are mini goals.
You will get those few pesky pounds off again and will look absolutely dazzling at the upcoming wedding.
Have you bought your dress yet? Do let us know what it looks like!
@Raymh: I'm so happy that things have worked for you and that your future is secure with a new job! You have such a passion and drive now to lose the weight.... it's coming through loud and clear! It's the same passion you had in the beginning (when this group got set up) and I think you lost it somewhere. Well, no matter! It's back and it's back with a fury! Good for you. This is the kind of mindset you need to get you going and, as the weight starts to fall off, it will be the motivation to keep you going!
Look at you already.... you've already dropped a few pounds!
I'm really sad to hear that things did not work out for your daughter's schooling. I wish you the best of luck in finding her a school that fits her special needs. My thoughts are with you.
Let's do it girls..... I want everyone to lose at least 0.5 lbs by tomorrow. We can do it!!!!!
@shy-- i am so happy that u posted, u will achieve it very soon, thank u dear for all ur support and best wishes.......... i was missing u a lot
@simba-- dont worry dear, u just have to do some drastic to break the barrier of 170s, probably u have to be on hot water and all protein diet for 1 or 2 days, it definitely works if u want to lose 3-5 lbs in very short span.
6th april 2013- 88.2 kgs
just half an hour later i have to go to a new school for my daughter's admission.
i hope everything goes well.......................
Thanks, Raymh! It means a lot to hear those words....
Good luck with the school. I hope everything works out for ALL of you. You need the stability in your life to ease the daily tensions.
BTW, I did notice the weight loss. Keep it up! You are going to be in the low 80's soon if you keep going at this pace.
April 6: I stayed the same... 142.0 lbs. That's good considering that there was a chocolate bunny calling my name all day whenever I entered the kitchen. I finally put him out of his misery and gobbled him up at 10pm last night. Oh... he had a sponge toffee filling. wow. It was so good!
I will try harder today and hopefully will lose by tomorrow morning.
@shy-- so last night ur encounter with chocolate bunny prevented further loss, hmm a yummy encounter, lolz,
@simba- where r u dear?
7 april 2013- 88.4 kg-
it is strange that i gained because i had not ate much and exercised too in evening (4 km stationary cycling + eliptical) still i gained
probable reason- due to water retention or as i ate in evening after 7 pm
if i want to lose then i will have to zip my mouth tightly after 6 pm
April 7
I think I gained 0.5 lb. I'm not 100% sure. If I didn't gain, then I stayed the same.
My scale is acting up.... perhaps it needs new batteries. Poor thing gets stepped on everyday!
I really tried yesterday.... but then I went shopping to Costco and, instead of avoiding the samples as I usually do, I decided to go ahead and have them!
I did continue to watch what I was eating the rest of the day but those samples.... a lot of them were starch.
Agh. When will I get on that bandwagon fully? I have the desire and motivation but sometimes, lately, I just falter.
Hopefully today will be a new day. After all, the weather is supposed to be warm and sunny. Unlike yesterday's cold, grey and windy day.... dotted with snow!
Such extremes in the weather. But, hey, that's what a Canadian spring is like!
Well, I managed to squeeze in exercise today and yesterday. I will weigh in tomorrow. Tried to weigh myself this morning and the scale read ERR3. My husband and I have a love-hate relationship with this new digital scale. lol
The wedding is less than 2 weeks away. I didn't buy a dress for the wedding, but I did get a beautiful fitted cream pantsuit. The jacket is a little snug, so I need to lose some inches so that it fits perfectly!
April 8; It's DH's birthday today! I'm not sure what he wants to do... does he want to go out for supper or does he want me to make him something special. Hmmmm. I didn't have the chance to ask him on the weekend as he was away at a conference and came back late last night. Now he's gone to the gym. He did ask me if I want to start going there with him but I declined. I've got too much work at home. If my house is cluttered, my mind is cluttered.
But I'm working on it. I've accomplished so much in two weeks spending one to two hours a day in the basement getting rid of, and unpacking boxes. It's such a great feeling.
I was pleasantly surprised this morning when I stepped on the scale. I weigh 141.5 lbs! I decided to stay on that bandwagon yesterday and actually consumed 4 glasses of water, something I never seem to do. The results are fantastic. I guess my body doesn't want those extra pounds afterall. I was starting to lose hope that I would reach my goal by next week, by my birthday, but i may do it. Well at least I won't have those extra pesky pounds around!
@Simba: Wow. Your pantsuit sounds lovely. I can just picture you in it somehow. Of course, your face is all blurry but I picture you mingling with a group of people in an outdoors garden and holding a glass of 'something'. Seriously, I've been imagining you like that since you mentioned this wedding.
Did you buy a blouse to contrast the cream colour of the pant suit? What colour is it? I'm sure you're going to look lovely. And don't worry, you've got a couple of weeks to get rid of those few inches around the waist! You can do it.
Look at me. I did it. If I can do it, ANYBODY can do it!!!!
I can't wait to hear all about the wedding... you HAVE to tell us.
@Raymh: Where are you? I've gotten used to waking up and seeing your post! I hope everything is fine.
can all do it. We all have bad days and we all have events in our lives that make us motivated to lose the weight and, after the event, keep it off. It's such a motivating factor when you know you can lose it and then work on keeping it off. It makes us look better, it makes us feel better about ourselves and it makes us healthy in the long run. That's what the end result should be.
Let's work together and we can all achieve our goals.
I'm pretty excited but I also know that I will gain after this weekend. I just got invited to another dinner! I'm going to try but it will be hard.

I haven't jumped fully on the bandwagon.
I'm hoping to do so today.... before I do more damage to myself.
