Hey guys...
I'm back from my holiday weekend and I ate everything in sight! lol
I ended up gaining weight... actually, I gained some weight before the holiday.. I'm sure of it.
I've been busy with cutting grass... who knew that it would grow so long in three days? I'm trying to take advantage of the weather. I have to do yardwork when it's not raining and the ground has dried.
I've also been pulling weeds from the garden in the last two days... I don't know where they came from. I'm not done yet but that area can wait.
DH comes back this afternoon from 12 days away.
I want him to see that I have kept up with the outside work...
Now I have to focus on the inside. lol
I have a few hours to do so... at least make it look descent in some areas. I can do this while I make a nice supper for him.
Anyways.... my weigh was up on Tuesday morning...
May 21: 143.5
May 22: 141.5
May 23; 141.0
I'm not really trying. I'm not watching what I'm eating.
The drop must be from all the yard work?
I don't know.
@Raymh; I notice the steady decline in numbers! Good for you. Keep it up.
May 24: 141.0 lbs
**that's good considering that I had cake and cookies yesterday to celebrate DH coming home. And I also had too much dinner... but it was so good! I overate!
It's really cold outside today.... the kids had to wear their winter coats! Crazy.
So... I'm indoors today (which is a good thing) and I plan on finishing cleaning up the upstairs of my house and also do some ironing. The clothes have piled up since I've been spending my energies elsewhere.
Crazy busy day!
I'm totally not on plan right now.... there are too many cookies and cakes around... someone has to eat them!
The kids wanted to make them for DH and there are so many of them. Normally I wouldn't eat them this much but they are really tasty.
I'm still at 172 lbs. It is a holiday weekend in the States...not counting calories. Will check back in after Memorial Day. Have a good weekend ladies!
May 26: 141.0 lbs
** I'm seriously not trying and I'm glad that I'm the same weight... considering the chocolates and cakes I'm eating like there's no tomorrow.
That's it... I have to stop it. I don't want to play with fire!
I'll get a lot of exercise today and I might actually drink a glass or two of water.... lol
I have to mow the endless grass again.. or maybe DH will. We have to clean our deck and maybe get out our patio furniture...
But, what we really need to do it to clean our garage! It will take all day. We have so much stuff that we don't even know what is in the boxes. When we moved, we just left items in the garage that looked like they belonged in the garage.
We also have to take our BBQ out of the garage and onto the deck in the back yard. We have to clean it and, hopefully, use it today. The weather is supposed to be nice... a nice spring day! What a joke, considering that we had a frost warning last night!
@Simba: Have a great Memorial Day weekend! We had our long weekend last week....
You're right... calories shouldn't count on this weekend.
Hopefully the scale is in your favour when you weigh again.
@Raymh: It's okay to gain a bit... especially when it's TOM. I find that it's really hard to stay on track.. there are too many cravings. Also, I find that some months I'm fine with no incident and other months, I want to eat everything around. And the scale shows it!
Give yourself a break and just jump back on the wagon. The weight will come off easily because you already lost it.
I didn't quite finish the garage yesterday and the grass did not get cut. The garage proved to be more challenging than anticipated. I'll continue to work on it throughout the week.
I may go out now to mow the grass. It's a little chilly out there and it may be good weather for it. DH is out of town for a meeting.
Didn't do the grass...
I ended up having a visitor for three hours in the morning. We were chatting outside of my house. She is a neighbour who was going for a walk and she just started to tell me her life story! lol. I didn't mind. I was doing a little bit of chores in the garage as we talked.
When I finally went out to cut the grass, the lawnmower staring smoking. I was worried so I left it for DH to fix. Unfortunately, he took so long to get to the store and get what was needed. I ended up taking DS to his soccer game and, by the time we got back, it was already getting dark and chilly. Then it started to rain and will continue to rain today.
May 29: 140.0 lbs
I somehow dropped one pound overnight... I'll take it.
i guess I'm back to my goal weight.. but not quite a low as I was at my lowest (138.5 lbs)
I'm soooooo tired. I didn't sleep very well. There was a huge thunderstorm last night at 3 in the morning and it lasted for one and a half hours! It was bad. The lightening kept coming in through the window and reflecting off of my tv component and it was so bright that it kept making me open my eyes!
I discovered this morning that DH had the blinds open somewhat!
Agh!
Here's to another day of laundry and ironing!
It's raining again.... at least a plus to this is that my DS's soccer practice will be cancelled. Good. He has homework and I need the extra time to get things done.
Weighed in today at 174 lbs. Gained 2lbs...guess I had too many cookies during holiday! Managed to walk for an hour yesterday. The weather is beautiful today...hopefully I can squeeze in a walk.
@Simba: Don't worry.... you'll lose it again but quicker this time! Long weekends tend to do that to us... it throws us off balance. But, as long as we have fun, I think it is well worth it.
@Raymh: Where are you? What's going on in your life? We're here for you.
I've got my MIL coming over for a few days for a conference. She comes tonight. I have to cook and still clean. I've been dealing with the laundry. That's finally done... at least to a point that is acceptable. Now I have to change sheets and clean bathrooms and vaccuum and polish and dust and mop. And cook.
Hi Raymh... good to see you!
I'm glad that you had fun on your holiday. That's what they're for. So what if you gain some weight back. That's all part of the process.
The key is now to focus again and stay on track. Soon all that holiday weight will fall off.
The same thing happened to Simba. And the same thing happened to me back in February and also two weeks ago!
I think it's time for all of us to pull up our socks and get focused.
Simba: I want you to break into the 160's again. You did it once and you will do it again.
Raymh: I want you to get into the lower 80's. You can do it. You were almost there.... just focus.
Me: I need to stop eating cookies, chips and cake and chocolate on a daily basis. Yes. It's true. I'm enjoying life very much right now but I need to focus and get my insides clean again. lol
@shy-- u r right dear, i need to get in to lower 80s seriously and simba needs to be in 160s,
yes we will do it
i have a very bad habit which is the reason of putting on weight, i am an avid reader and like to read all kinds of books, my favourite relaxation is to read a really interesting book while munching on something, now these 2 things eating and reading has become one by marrying to each other and i am unable to break their bonding together, as soon as i pick the book i crave for food, and it is my favorite relaxation, it feels heavenly to me....
i tried to break it and couldn't so i think that i need to cut back this heavenly relaxation to once a week only
