Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I have been ghosted by a few girls. More than i would like to admit. I have read a few things on why people ghost. They seem to think it make things easier. But I don't think it does. It has an effect on the person being ghosted. I get why you would ghost someone who is being creepy or weird. I thought things were going fine with one of the girls. We planned to have a date when she had a week off from work. Her week off was last week. We went from talking everyday to nothing for a few days. She said her work got really busy and i believed her and I understood. So I thought ok let's talk about our upcoming date. That was the last thing she texted me. I did't message for a few days thinking she was busy. I messaged her a few days later saying i hope everything is ok. I checked her facebook saw that she had 10 new post in the past few days. I was really liking her too. Liked her personality, sense of humor. I feel stupid. I fell for the common excuses. Always busy. I feel like such a loser. I see a couple holding hands, hugging even a simple peck on the cheek. I feel like crying. I can't even get a single date. I keep wondering to myself what's wrong with me. I know i'm not ugly but i sure do feel ugly. Feel like a loser.

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...
Nuance #1 - If she does not show interest, she is not interested.
ETA: As soon as you recognize this behavior, accept it for what it is. She is no longer interested. End of story. Don't continue wasting your time. If you rely on online dating and it isn't working, find something that does work. Like actually going out and meeting people.
The ancient path:
1. Notice something she made effort in...like clothing and complement her on that. Keep compliment simple....always smile, you'll get a better reaction
2. Ask question about the item you complimented her on
3. Introduce yourself
4. KEEP the conversion going...the are techniques you can use like 'cold reading' , 'conversational threading and so on
5. Keep encounter short...might be wise to end it with another compliment..maybe this time about her beauty or personality
6. Once you become natural, throw away method, this will allow conversation skills to grow
NOTHING BEATS EXPERIENCE AND NOTHING CAN COME CLOSE TO IT.
I'm no guru, but I had to learn interacting with people (not particularly linked to women), as part of my recovery. This was to kill the bond with the computer stuff (the porn) and form real social bonds with people.
Hope this helps!!!!
Most important: Rejection is ALWAYS possible NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE, so do not be scared of it. ALWAYS LEARN TO LET GO- this is one of the most critical skill, both in online dating and offline dating, but in online dating your brain gets flooded with all types of hormones of attachment, MAKING IT EVEN MORE DIFFICULT TO LET GO- same effect of pornography addiction.
