I haven't had my gallbladder out, but I know quite a few people who have. When it's come up in discussion, every one of them has said the surgery went off without a hitch, and they had only minimal pain after it was done.

Wishing a speedy recovery for your daughter!

I hate she waited that long to find out what was wrong, I hope she gets better soon, is there a date for the surgery set yet?

I hate that she waited so long also. She has always put everyone else above herself. She has 4 grandchildren under three and a special needs son that just turned 11, plus her own home and office cleaning business.

Unless she "gets worse" her surgery will be March 8th.

I received a letter from Daughter .today. She says she is feeling better and now able to eat almost normally but bowels are moving normally. Her expected surgery will be March 9th.

I had mine out and it was painful for while but when healed much much better....then the naval access point to the surgical tools I think called Davinci tools came apart and herniated...so I had to have a surgery to put mesh in behind my naval....no more problems after that really....good to go....it is not a fun recovery though.....it hurts....for few weeks at least....and lifting is no no!

I did not not want to hear that; but thanks for letting me know there can be a flip side, bill

My daughter Is in hospital and I am frantic. I do not do well with telephones and my son in law has a really soft voice. Her gall bladder surgery is scheduled for March 9.

What I gather is she wen t to her local clinic yesterday afternoon because she was experiencing painful swelling in one of her legs. When they did the routine vitals her BO was 65; yes! Sixty five. Clinic people transported her immediately to an emergency room. When SIL called last night he said she has pneumonia.

Daughter called this morning . Her voice was very weak because she is in so much pain but she said My lungs are filled with blood clots.

Precious Heavenly Father I pray today that my daughter will be healed and I will be comforted. In . name. Amen.

Should be " In Jesus holy name"

SIL just called. Daughter still in ICU and will be at least til Monday, then in hospital for a few days after that.

The blood clots are beginning to dissolve and her color is coming back.

I will keep her in my thoughts. I hope she continues to heal and feel better. Hugs to you.

I have known many friends who have lost their gallbladder and actually felt better afterwards. She is going to be fine mom. It's a really regularly done procedure. Hugs

gramybear, I am not so concerned about the gall bladder now as the recent issue. She was admitted to the hospital Friday with a BO of 65 and blood clots in her lungs and is still in ICU.


SIL told me today the blood clots have started to dissolve and her color is coming back.
