Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

So it’s almost 1:30 am on a Friday and there’s only one person in the group logged in. I hope that means everyone is doing well. I had a rough couple days so I made some posts looking for advice and someone said something that struck me. It was about waiting till we reached the bottom before we sought out help. I’ve had thoughts like that before. When I would have a few good days I wouldn’t come here and I would just float on through the day. I would never admit to myself that this will turn back to sadness at some point. The good days, the days I have energy to do something, I should be preparing for the next bad day. I know it’s not the best thing to think about when your having that good day, and nobody thinks that it will end. At least not out loud anyway. That good day is the day I should find that therapist or make that doctors appointment. It’s the day I should go online and find some strategies for dealing with my depression. Because sadly that dark cloud always seems to come back. It’s happened countless times already so why does it still surprise me. I don’t know anyone around me that has depression so I certainly don’t know anyone who had that dark cloud go away and never come back. But it does happen for many people, I guess that’s because they are always prepared for it.

She tried to talk me into going to more yard sales by saying that if I don't go, there...

The Friday before Labor Day just before we left, the options given to me basically were either quit of be fired, and if I were to stay on I were to be put on an improvement plan, which is pretty much synonymous with getting fired. I was going to do the improvement plan and just ride it out until I found another job due to money and due to the fact that I did not want to quit without another job....

Also, on a side note, there could be members of this site signed on, but you don't see them. My profile is set that you don't see me online. Anyway, just passing on info. Keep sharing with us and I hope you try to look into some in person groups.
