No one should be afraid of DS. There are other websites out there and they know it. This site is revenue driven and the more people they ban, the more of us they lose in protest. Something they cannot afford. We cannot use that as reason to abuse.

Treat others as you wish to be treated and this won't be an issue.

Still want to see our friend returned to us. Calling out drug seekers is calling it like we see it.

Munchhausen by Internet is calling it like we see it.

No, I agree with you- I don't back down if I feel strongly about an issue. But by making a big deal out of the situation and detailing it all over the boards, it brings more people onto the site- which gives them the power. By not giving in and responding directly on these boards, they're encouraging more discussion, more debate, more threads, because they don't give us an ultimate answer to put this mess to rest. In a way, they're playing us- they know we won't leave the site because we feel the need to defend our integrity and that of our friends. They know we won't just "let it go" and walk away, because we are passionate people. I mean, I don't know about you, but the main reason why I've been on this site as much as I have for the past week is because of all the updates to these threads.

Please don't misunderstand and think I'm misjudging everyone for replying to these threads; I'm all for a good protest. I hope that all of the people replying to these threads are taking productive action towards change, and sending all of these concerns and questions directly to the admins. The admins have made it obviously clear that they either don't read the threads or don't care enough to reply to them. Let's aim for 126 e-mails in their inbox instead of in this thread!

interesting concept yet when you treat some people the same way they have been treating others they tend to get upset.

It's also interesting the number of members that are doctors in this group and feel qualified in diagnosing others over the internet.

I'm not sure what discussion it was but one of the criteria for a drug addict was doctor shopping. Now what is the cut off for this if you stop at 6 pain doctors your not an addict. I'd really like to know what school is teaching this.

I'm sure that Whom you refer went hrough 6 pm's i a few years time not in a few months time. I also know they were fired by the pm Dr.s it was the other way around. personal I don't Dr. shop my reg, Dr. refers me to Dr.s hoping to find the perfect match and his batting adverage has been good I only haven't like 2 out of the 10 in many years he has referred me to. Do I think I'm a doctor hell no. I'm just a stupid nurse,and been a reg. client of Dr.s sense 2006.I learn as I'm treated by the Dr.s and I remember all test, surgeries,on and on. I could say a whole lot more but,I'm mad now so I'll quit before I get in trouble.

In my past I've been physically and mentally abused. I learned how to identify abusers and how to deal with it. Now I walk softly and carry a big stick :) I understand how people can get mad at verbal abuse. I don't. I recognize 'abuse' and try to ignore it (if it happens online). On here there's an ignore button as one person suggested. But I prefer to watch them. But if someone upsets you, maybe hitting the ignore button is a good idea for you. Alot of us have been insulted. I deal with it differently on a public board than I would in person. But my first response is the same, online or in perosn. I choose to keep a distance. From abusers, from people I think might be trouble. Works for me.
For name callers....how childish! The 'abuse' button is there for those people.
I prefer to put my attention on other things...Smart what someone said about not using their last name (afraid of being stalked) as verbal abusers typically are stalkers and become physical abusers. Good thing about online..you don't have to personally deal with these people. :) That would be ugly! Wouldn't it be nice if we had and 'ignore' button for people we have to deal with in person? I think there'd be alot less violence in the world! :)

I thought the Golden Rule we have been talking about here was "treat others as you would like to be treated" not "treat some people the way they treat others". Was I mistaken? And now we don't get to talk about medical issues either? Oh, no!!!!!!

I did not know that calling people as we see them means that we think we are doctors. Gee, I sure am glad that we have some mind readers here. Will save me the trouble of speaking my mind about that. Lmao. As far as doctor shopping goes, I say that if the shoe fits, where it. We all know the time lines in the case being talked about. I say THAT SHOE FITS!

Thank you for clearing that up for me. I didn't realize that the golden rule treat others the way you would have them treat you was just talk.

All this time I thought the members that were talking about that rule actually applied it to themselves. No wonder they were getting upset.

I guess it's just another rule to talk about but doesn't apply to everyone.
