Mary, Doctor shopping is actually going to multiple Dr.'s at the same time...Overlapping. If you go to one Dr. and they won't help you then you try another one...that's not Dr. shopping...

I agree with trying to diagnose over the internet...not helpful at all...
And we all make mistakes, treating others as we like to be treated is sometimes easier said then done...

It would seem that treating others as one would like to be treated could save us all. Unfortunately none of us here are actually well and baiting makes it all the harder. I often wonder if the people who report abuse actually ever read other posts by the so called abuser. Do they look to see if the person is generally helpful and caring? Do they bother to see what that persons challenges are or is it all about themselves? Expecting a constant flow of you are great, how sad for you and I'll support anything you do or say no matter how over the top or self damaging you are isn't really a support group. If that is what a person needs, then maybe this isn't the right place for them. Maybe a new board is required. When you sign up for a board you really should read various posts that are on that board. Not all advice is gumdrops and candy canes, nor should it be if you are really looking for advice. Sometimes no is the right advice even if you don't want to hear it. What you end up doing with the advice is up to you but you don't just keep shooting the messengers. Sometimes dealing with the unpleasant truth is what saves you.

Again, I would like to see our concerns addressed by DS, not just in Erika's case but in the overall big picture of participating on this site. The ROR is not exactly followed in all cases by DS. Requesting knowledge of the actual offense is not too much to ask when being warned or banned as in Name calling is not tolerated, stalking through pms is not tolerated. It's the only way a person can review their behavior and how it may be viewed by others.

@1littleb, I rec'd an email stating that I had been abusive and that if I continued to, that I would be banned. I replied asking for the "abuse" I had posted and to this date still have not gotten a response. I have a very good idea who reported it as I responded to a certain persons post that I had vowed not to. However, I got baited but do not feel at all that it was abusive, honest but not abuse. I have not replied at all to anymore of that persons post and have not gotten any addl email. I also have not changed how i speak or what I type in my replied to other posts, so there is my answer. I am a big believer in what goes around, comes around and it all balances out somehow in the end. There are important things that we are all having to deal with to worry about being childish and catty in reporting ppl that do not agree with their own opinions....Let me stop.....It would be nice to get an answer to my email about my warning and also about ChronicIL.......

I guess I just don't understand why people don't use the "ignore" button.

Why would you want to have more stress in your life? You are already in constant, unrelenting pain. Do some people feed on being in arguments, on having the last word, and on being right?

Members are here to give support and to help each other. We all have health issues.

It seems to me that it would be wise to start using that button.

Under normal circumstance I would agree with you Leeall. 1littleb said the above and for me it really hit home.

DS is not responding to our questions. Letting this thread go is like saying, "it's fine if you choose to ignore my questions and concerns."

It's still about what happened to Erika but it's also about DS needing to step up and take responsibility for it's members concerns.

That just my 2 cents anyway:)

I believe what most folks are saying is
1. That it would be helpful to have more direct dialogue w/ D.S. admin, not just a "one fits all" form letter.
2. Infractions should be addressed w/ an explanation of exactly what the offense was so that the person being corrected would be clear on what changes they need to make.
3. That a petition (which is what this thread has become) should receive some attention and response.

Nealy, you got it right, is not that we want to rehash this over and over again, it is about some one in the administration not following up. In many other circumstances Leeall I would say, yes you are right, but on this I say no.
Something unjust happened and we were promise an investigation, and some answers, we are still haven't had anyone tell us the outcome of the investigation. Remember, this time is ChronicIL, next time it could be you, me or someone else............

They answered us ONCE and said she was banned NOT for just Chronic pain forum but for perhaps OTHER forums too.

We don't know everything that happened. I like her just like everyone else. But this has gotten out of hand.

With all do respect, Leeall, I know what happened, I am in contact with ChronicIL on a daily basis, so no, we have not received an answer, so that is why everyone is kind of upset. This post was made by an administrator on January 25, and today is February 10 and we still have no answers............ That is why most people are angry, we just feel like no one cares, that's it.

I thought DS had the ability to remove threads. I say remove this one and let's start a new one, not necessarily addressed to this DS leader. Not necessarily on this subject. Not necessarily 153+ replies. Pull it.
