I think I'm going to try and work it out with my wife. I'm not sure how I'm going to achieve this goal, but I do know that I am not healing and this site is not working. So I guess I will just be proactive and take matters into my own hands.

I did and I'm damn glad for it. It didn't work out in the end but any doubts I had were erased. Either way it wouldn't be a bad thing.
I believe the thinking that staying teaches children that it's okay to be miserable in a relationship is wrong. Ask most kids and they'll tell you they wished their parents stayed together (baring abuse). On the contrary I believe it shows them you love them enough to endure hardships for them.
