I was a stay at home mom for 14 years (w/a handful of part time jobs sprinkled in) and before that I was a stock broker. No desire to do that anymore as I am done baby sitting full grown adults!!!

The job that I have applied for and am really hoping comes through is to run the county supervised visitation program for Family Services.

I was a multilingual Exec. assistant at the European Union, before I married. Then I turned volunteer translator for non-profit, because we moved too much (14 moves in 20 years) for me to have a career. I volunteered for the troops and their families for many years. I have a B.A in Anthropology and Linguistics which doesn't help with a career. Now I'm prepositioning my ammo to become a trauma conselor (M.A. and related volunteer work and I have a sub. teacher job). If I could be anywhere in the world now, it would be in the Sudan helping those (esp. women and children) who have been the victims of violence. I guess I'm a helper too...

No mechanic here, I don't know much about cars except that all of mine break down alot.

IT guy - some programming, helpdesk, troubleshooting, taking crap... etc...

Also a paid on call firefighter. Though I would much rather be a career firefighter and never have to touch a computer again. :-)
