I am a teacher. I have met other teachers here. I was wondering how many of us are in helping professions, like nurse or whatever. It could just be me. What do you all think?

For 30 years I worked in an auto factory making car and truck engines. I assembled them, and machined them. Also for a while I was a supervisor. Most of that time I was an inspector of assembled and machined parts. I also spent a lot of time as a tooling crib attendant. The highlight of my carreer was spending 5 years at headquarters using a computer to design engines for minivans. Some of my designs are in the cars that you drive today.
My ex left after retirment so she screwed up some of my dreams...mostly money issues. She is real scum for waiting like that. She enjoyed that.
I went to college for residential, commercial Heating and cooling. I have a cerificate for drafting from another college. Also I have about 20 certificates for computer aided design...yet when it comes to these chat rooms my computer skills are clumsy at best. Maybe cause you all dont pay me...lol.
I am so glad you asked this question. I wondered a lot at what people do.
I may go out and get a job again someday but I dont know what I would do. I am 57 so I am thinking janitor, or counter person at auto parts or heating and cooling store. Anything but greeter at the local Meijers...lol.
I have been retired since 51 so I am kinda tired of not doing anything.
