Do you think you can honestly say that you were a good husband or wife? What makes a good spouse anyway? I think I could have been if she was willing to put in half the work. That never happened...

I don't think anyone can claim perfection. I know I loved my husband and trusted him which was a mistake. I know he took advantage of my trust and used me for nothing more than a paycheck. Yeah I was a good honest loving spouse--but he never intended for this marriage to last. He stayed until he got everything he could from me and then he left. I am not doing that again.

I don't know. If he is the ultimate judge, than he would say no. I didn't make him feel the way he wanted to feel. If God is the ultimate judge, then he knows I put my heart and soul into it, and still failed.

You know, the whole "you should have seen it coming" or "expected it" line cracks me up. They act like we are SUPPOSED to see them for the POS they turned out to be, but if we had gone to them and told them we didn't believe in them, they'd of run out the door that much faster and fucked around anyway.

IMO, it is just anything they can do to take the blame off of them.

Even if you WEREN'T a good spouse, did you deserve to be treated like shit and disrespected? Absolutely not.

I had problems, but at least I made an effort to work on them. She knew she was a cheating liar and did nothing about it. Now she's trying to fix the mistakes of our marriage by making a bigger one.
