HONESTY, and trustworthy.
It doesn't hurt to do some soul searchig and found out why we pick partners who can't live up to the commitment.
Criteria like born-again or specific religion are great, though. I don't ever want to date someoen again who is trying to change my religion. For God's sake, don't wait until you're falling for someone and then try to convert them. I found out, you can't even convert a non-outdoorsy type to a camper, so better keep that on the list too.
One thing to keep in mind is the more specific the criteria the harder it is going to be to find someone to meet it. But it's important to know what your priorities are and which things are deal-breakers.
Most emotionally unhealthy people either have no idea what they are looking for or their criteria is too shallow. For example, I want a rich man, period. You may find a rich man but he could be a SOB in every aspect of life.
It is important to do some soul-searching and I think that making a list like this is exactly that. A way to figure out what was missing from our last relationship and hone in what we really need in our next.
a Pulse would be nice!
