I have gone thru so many guys, dating them only once or twice, because one's smile was off, one was too touchy feely, one laughed weird.. but I'm getting better! I think part of it is if your attracted to them or not.. the initial attraction is so important, so if there's something that is bugging you off the bat, make a mental note of it, but don't write the guy off right off the bat, because it maybe just nerves.. best wishes!

Must be a Christian
Must be genuinely romantic
Must love me for me
Must be intuitive (can sense how I feel and what I need)
Must be able to dance
Must love my kids
Must be a responsible wage earner
Must be willing to loyal
Must be willing to talk things out

I could go on, but I won't - lol

I think you need to ask yourself why the person needs to be at least as tall as you. The first set of criteria are great because they are personality related. The height requirement is a physical trait which can be very limiting. If you are just not attracted to shorter men, then it is valid. But I think it is worthwhile for you to re-examine why you have this requirement. Either way, dating sucks at first!

I've been alone almost a year and have not found one person I'd want to go out with. Not one.
This is my list of must haves:
(1) easy on the eyes
(2) nice smile (teeth)
(3) smart
(4) employed - Duh!
(5) confident but not full of himself
(6) honest
(7) no heavy baggage (I've got enough for both of us)
(8) strong but caring too
(9) very independant
(10)a great kisser (that's a deal breaker for me!)

When I get up the nerve to leave my husband, the next guy must have all of these things, or I am not going to even bother:
1. Must have a strong relationship with BOTH of his parents.
2. Must not be into drinking alcohol.
3. Must not look at pornography.
4. Must be able to accept and love my autistic son.
5. Must have a career.
6. Must get along with my parents.
7. Must not ever make me feel like I am less than what I am.
8. Must love animals.
9. Must be all into me, not every other pretty thing within sight.
10. Must be sensitive and caring, yet emotionally stable and stong.

OK, so I guess I just will be single until I die! That, or I have to start being attracted to women LOL!

This is just what I want in someone I would date:


Can go out or sit on the couch and watch tv.

Should have a taste for at least one type of foriegn cuisine.

Must make equal or more than I do.

I like a nice smile. Nice eyes. Nice enough body.

Must not go overboard on the dirty jokes so soon.

Must open car doors.
Must look into my eyes.
Must not have a lot of drama in his life.
Must love to kiss and cuddle.
Must have time for me.
Must know that the universe revolves around ME.

1. Must accept and appreciate my qualities for what they are rather than as items on a checklist. If a date feels like a job interview it's over before it even begins.

3.No short guys the stbx was only 5'6"
4.Must have a carrer.
5.Must not date strippers.

Right now I'm not interested in meeting anyone. Should that day come, the following is what I think I'd like to see in a man. These things can change over time as I grow more as a person.

1. Has the ability to love
2. Comes from a large and loving family
3. Respects and loves his mother, father and adores his children and grandchildren. Has a loving relationship with everyone in his family.
4. Spirituality is an important part of his life.
5. Enjoys intimacy and sex and not afraid to show love and affection
6. Has a track record of honesty and loyalty.
7. Takes responsibility for his actions.
8. Is financially responsible.
9. Allows me enough space to grow
10. Doesn't have a controlling bone in his make-up
11. Does not want to get married or live with me and is happy to have his and hers places so we don't have to live together.
12. Enjoys outdoor activities like bicycling and hiking. No hunters or fisherman please.
13. Includes me in fun times.
14. Will not treat me like a servant
15. Is nice looking and in physical and mental health.

I could go on and on and I'm not sure there is anyone like that out there, but if there is --- I'm interested.
