I am so angry right now. He was over trying to sell our car that had broken down in January. As he was outside, his phone went off. It was of course this girl he said was just a "friend." I got curious and decided to look at their texts. This is of course what I saw. When confronted about it he said that if started after we broke up (2 weeks ago mind you.) We were together 7 years and set to be married in October. Even if he did wait till we officially broke up, how do you go from friends to "I love you babe" in 2 weeks? She of course has a bf and I passed the info along to him. Because of this, now I'm the bad guy again and he is nowhere in the wrong I hate him so much and feel like a fool for staying with him 7 years and giving him chance after chance and loving him with all my heart. I fear that I will never be able to trust another guy after this and that he has ruined a chance for a truly happy relationship for me.

You want to change yourself - well, change yourself into someone you just absolutely love! It won't matter what he thinks or does.
The best love will happen when you love yourself. If you are looking for someone to 'complete you,' you are in for a miserable time. (Unless that someone is Jesus, and that's a whole other blog.)
You make you happy. When you do, then you can find someone that you can make even more 'happy' happen. Don't bother looking for someone until then.. You can date, just nothing serious. You won't know what the future you is going to be, not exactly; so how can you play matchmaker for her? Wait until you are happy with yourself, then you will be able to find someone that fits with you - the you - you want to be.
Take your time, enjoy being single, think back of the person you were before him and what you loved to do. Find a passion and never give it up for anyone. My passion is music and that's what really helps me get through the tough times.
Stay strong. -HUGS-
