Oh Jackie I know all too well how you feel. Loving someone with all your heart and soul but never getting anything in return. That is the life of being married to a Narcissist.
I have done this for 17 yrs and am now getting out of it, but its hard because I want to hold on even though I know I shouldn't. My sons tell me I am so much better off but my heart keeps breaking.
I have said many times the last 2 months that I should be happy and jump for joy after 17 years of Hell, but I then have to wipe away the tears.

Hi girlincalif , we have been together 5 years but married for 2... I’m not sure how to plan a life without him and having to face everyone in my life that thought we were happy and having to admit that we failed in our marriage.

Oh that is a shame. Did something happen, or is it a bunch of things? What do you think is wrong?

Have you thought about trying marital counseling?

Its hard to let go, letting go feels so wrong many times.
You have to love yourself, value yourself. treat yourself with love.
Allowing yourself to learn and grow is a wonderful gift.
Surround yourself with people who want to see you succeed and grow. Those who tear you down cant help you grow.
Always vent to family friends and those who will listen. Talking it out helps so much more than holding it in.
Focus on yourself and live the life you want.

Jackie ...I'm sorry you're going thru this...but what you are feeling is valid and normal. You loved, you were vulnerable, you trusted, you worked hard to create a marriage and life. I'm sorry your partner could not return the efforts you put in.

It's alot of things to accept and changes that will happen. Right now...take care of yourself...tell the important people of the dissolution of your marriage...parents, siblings, best friend...but everyone else can wait. I

True love doesn't give up...well sometimes the person who we choose to love...isn't worthy of our love. But that doesn't change YOUR capacity for love...and love you will have for a deserving person.

I’m sorry to hear about your marriage. I hate to see anyone go through pain and hurt over a relationship ending. I hurts bad to give all that you are, and not get it back. But I’m hoping you come through this quickly, and you find what you truly deserve.

Are you sure its the end. Have u tried counseling or going to your pastor. I don't like to see marriages end. You will know when your done, but God favors marriage.

I know the feeling. I know how crazy it seems to want to save something that wasn’t working. I haven’t found true love either. I think the true love I have is from family and kids. Unfortunately, I haven’t had any love love that is tried and true, but I hope one day I do. I hope the same for you!
