Italian Pizza versus U.S. Pizza....the U.S. pizza tastes sweeter.

Don't get me started on the coffee. There they heat up the coffee & milk together. YUK. For a year all I wanted was a cup of black coffee. They just wouldn't do it!!

I knew there was a difference but did not know what it was. I tasted my first pizza in rome when i was 14/15yrs old and didn't really like it. i've often wondered why, since. thanks for solving that mystery Dobie.

i'll have my rooibus tea bags with me so i will just need boiling water and a drop of milk and i'll be fine. I don't drink coffee so i'll be good on that front but wolfgang does so i'll warn him about it.

Fresh bagels, lox and cream cheese for everybody! Grab them while they're still warm! Unfortunately, I can't taste or smell anything right now due to pneumonia - but I'm on the mend . Can't wait to be back to my "self" (whatever that means)

still studying my italian and trying to remember curse words from the dim and distant past like 'porco dio' and 'va fincula' (i think??) (help Dobie?) I do remember getting a major bollicking from an italian mama at home for saying porco dio!!! oops...I didn't know what i was saying but i did know about the 'fuck off' i cannot deny that one. ha ha.

got my new laptop today and it is beautiful. it came all the way from amerciay!! a HP dualcore something or other cobalt blue via ebay (refurbished) and I am over the moon with it. Wolfgang purchased the one I got a couple of weeks ago to give his son for christmas and i am delighted because this one is much nicer!!! yay.

two fillings done today and numbness wearing off finally so i am going to try to eat dinner. I picked up a turkey and ham dinner for three euro! am starving.

Irish...don't say Porco Dio. It's real bad. Literally it means God is a Pig, but figuratively it's Fuck God. REAL BAD. You'll be making a lot of enemies. Va Fancula or Va Fanapoli - is Go w/the gays and get screwed in the ass. I'm not making this up. Their swear words are much worse than ours. Throw in a lot of "bella" or grazie mille (a thousand thanks). That'll win them over.

they are scary creatures alright. we had one when i was about four years old who had a stick to hit you with when you were bold which was smooth on one end and knobbled on the other for when you were very bold. barbaric, I would have killed anyone who attempted to harm any of my children,
