Hey dobie, I think I might fear a splotchy doberman. I don't want to catch what he's got that made him that way. I haven't noticed any fur problems after going into the machine, maybe I wasn't in long enough. Did I miss the mulled wine and cheese board? That sounds perfect for a late night snack. Then I'll join dobie, curled up in a ball in front of the fireplace and passed out. Sounds cozy.

A mulled wine and cheese board??? I'm IN! I'll even bring some more. I'm shrinking, guys. Winter is making me blue. I need a break - like a trip to a deserted island with a restaurant, hotel and floating bar - but totally isolated and empty - except for the people who work at the restaurant, hotel & floating bar. LOL! Wish in one hand...

I'm a zombie today. Haven't fully woken up. Things are going badly for MIL so it's upsetting me. Jason is beside himself.
I think some quiet time here in the BP Lounge will help.

Ok, enough quiet time. If I'm left alone with my thoughts for too long I get a little bonky. Or depressed.

So...I will be trotting off to watch some funny movie and chew on a bone. (no, not that kind of bone. I wish).
I left you guys some muffins and hot cocoa. And pistachios...everybody like pistachios. Personally, I can't open them with my paws....because I don't have Thumbs...like those lucky Raccoons do!!

This place is growing cobwebs. Did I miss something? Is everybody staying home because of the snow?

ciao! bongiuorno! from roma! It is 7.30am here and wolfgang is still asleep. it is so beautiful here, i want to stay forever sitting outside little cafes sipping ice cold prosecco people watching in the sun and absorbing the history from all the ancient wonderful sights everywhere you look!

Pagan, you would be in seventh heaven with the food!!!

I have brought some freshly baked breads, hard toast, preserves, espresso, juice, pastries, hot tea etc. for breakfast so dig in.

I will bring delicious desserts later so don't forget to drop in then!

dobie there is a setting on the 'escape from bipolar machine' to 'eliminate all side effects if occurring!' the big bright orange button on the right of the controls!!! lol.

That sounds delish, dobie! I love the old waffle cones - not so much the flaky ones, but they're not bad. The big ones can be filled with just about anything! Yummy!

lots of red wine May B! so delicious I wanted to bring it all home. yes dobe the panna, the pennacotta, the tiramisu, the cream pastries! need i say more?? the prosecco so cheap I was being very bold and buying it in the supermarkets for 3.49 euro for three small bottles and bringing them ice-cold from the hotel, getting a glass in the restaurant and topping them up myself!!!! wolfgang was mortified but i did not give a flying fuck!! I slipped the waiter 10 euro to look after us and we were treated like royalty! what a buzz!! extra courses and extra dessert wines and such friendly service. of course we tipped 10 as well so they loved us!! ON a 40 euro bill they were thrilled! And we were in heaven and able to take our own sweet time! amazing what a little greasing of palms can accomplish!

I willl never forget rome and i truly hope to be able to back there. I even got a little bit of a tan in the unseasonably warm weather for january!

And guess what we are off to germany for four days on the 7th february for wolfgang;s mother's 90th birthday. I found flights for 42 euro! and a car for 60 euro! i might get used to this jet set life! we shall have to live on bread and water for the rest of the year. it will be worth it though because she is getting quite frail and 90 is a major milestone!

his family do not know yet because they did not think we would be able to do it so i can't wait to hear their response! I booked it one night in italy while he was asleep and i found the offer online. he was over the moon the next day!!

Just before I left for italy the council sent me an offer to buy my house at a 60% discount at a rate that would be less than the rent i am currently paying. I cannot believe my good fortune. My angels are definitely looking after me at the moment. so many good things are going on. I am so grateful for all of this.

I had my bag stolen yesterday with all the gifts i had purchased just before we left but at least it was not the one with my wallet, passport etc. so thank goodness for that. they cut the straps on the bag and i didn't even notice until it was gone!! bet they were disappointed with a small bottle of prosecco and a few little knick knacks for the kids and things like that!!!

tea, coffee, toast and lots of pancakes with all the fillings right now to eat as i'm sure there are plenty of hungry people about. dig in and enjoy the day!
