You mean that there is a name for IT? Im not weird? Trichotillomania, that big, long word that is the bane of our world. With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.

Hello all, I have been following some threads and gained a lot of support from many of them. I initially went onto this site about two months ago because I knew I would be getting engaged soon and I wanted to be trich-free in time. So now that I am newly engaged I want to garner all my strength to fight trich during this period. I want to stand there on my wedding day and know that i overcame this. this is for ME. To be able to stand tall and confident and proud and truly myself without trich weighing me down as i walk down the aisle.
this is my goal. I have till March. Any support is welcome!!!!

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

I agree with manda, I'm sure your hairstylist will be able to conceal the damage well. And toppik is pretty great! I also agree with panthera, that everyone is there for you and not your hair. I'm sure you'll barely think about it on the day.
wedding is at the end of the month so getting really close
i do have some new spots that will not grow back in time - so its frustrating that i havent been able to fight trich as hard as i wanted to and set out to do. unfortunately my energy and focus and priorities shifted many times and though my personal goal was trich it was pushed aside which is disappointing
but like you all said i cant let trich get in the way of my celebration and determination to feel beautiful inside and out
continuing the struggle even though my original goal wont be met. not giving up.
But I agree with the others, try to remember not to beat yourself up about it. On the day there will be so many other wonderful things going on and so much love, and you will look absolutely beautiful no matter what.
I've put a picture of the hairstyle I want on my phone, which is good inspiration not to pull! It's hard, but just trying to be mindful.
Good luck with all the planning! :)
