Hey all!! My name is Rachel. I'm 31 years old from Cleveland, Ohio and I live with my husband and 2 furbabies. I have been pulling my eyebrows and eyelashes for 18 years. I've been to a psychologist, psychiatrist, behavioral therapist and tried meds (prozac, buspar, luvox and anafrinil). For me these just didn't work and I always did better on my own (though I've heard of lots of people who do marvelously with them). I have had periods in my life where I've had all my eyebrows and eyelashes (senior yr of high school and my wedding...that was a shocker). I also have had times where I can stop for a few months and then it all goes down hill. Quite recently I've had a relapse that has been very destructive and lasted a couple months. I'm done...I've had enough and am really ready to stop. I really need to do this for myself. I've had too many emotional set backs lately with relapses, then add not being pregnant yet after 15 months trying, not good. This is the time for me to be motivated. I'm about a day and a half pull free (not that my hands didn't try last night, just got lucky). I intend to keep that going. I'm open to advice and welcome encouragement :) Here's to being Pull-Free!!!

Hey all!!! How was everyone's holiday?? Nothing too exciting here. Had a couple of little get togethers, but nothing extravagent. Found out yesterday my dog does not like fireworks, at least when they're being set off right in front of my house. He might have been fine if he hadn't been outside and actually watched the first one. After I took him in he kept cowering next to me for the entire time they were setting them off. Poor guy :( He kept breathing really fast and cuddling up right next to me, so you could tell he was nervous. Heading down to Cincinnati this SAturday for my cousin's wedding. First time I'll see my family in almost 2 years. I'll also finally get to meet my brother's girlfriend. Very excited, especially since I don't have to be self conscious!! Question for eyebrow pullers: When they grow back, have you ever had a couple that were like super long?? I have a couple that keep curling down because they're really long. Just curious if anyone else has noticed anything like that before. Kinda thinking I should trim it a bit.

Congrats on on over two months!!

Yes, that happened to me once and I tried ignoring them but eventually they became my downfall. I say try to trim them or have hubby do it. The longer they get, the more tempting they got for me and so no use fighting it when you can just trim them - temptation gone!

That's weird. Does that happen with lashes too??

So I ended up trimming that one eyebrow hair that was driving me nuts. Definitely helped :) Not sure if that can happen with eyelashes too, but I haven't noticed that personally. Still going strong and feeling pretty good about myself. I finally got to meet my brother's gf and she's sooooo nice. Really like her. Just sucks they live so far away :( It was also really nice seeing all my family. The first time in almost 3 years. This was probably the best experience I've had with them which was awesome! I actually enjoyed hanging out with them...lol!!!

I've come to a realization. Now that it has been about 2.5 months, I'm not noticing any new growth from areas that are lacking. The realization being the amount of permanent damage I've actually done. I don't look bad at all, just my eyelashes aren't going to be as thick as I would have liked. Very thankful for what I have gotten back so I'm not going to get upset over it. My eyebrows are pretty much fully in except for one minute little area which most people probably wouldn't even notice, but I do since I know it's there.

Only 2.5 days to go until the epic finale!!!!!!!

Thought I should make an update (at least to keep track of my progress). Still doing really well. Strangely enough I really haven't had any urges. Kinda weird and freaking me out at the same time. Just keep waiting for the shoe to drop and all hell break loose, but I'm trying not to think like that. Just very grateful for what I've been able to accomplish so far. I'm almost 3 months PF and it feels great!!!

I don't understand how I get on here ALL the time and never see your thread... I had to go back a page to figure out what "epic finale" you were talking about. HOW COULD I NOT KNOW?! Haha, I'm a bigger Harry Potter fan than I would ever admit to my friends. Did you like the movie?

You're doing great going PF as well! Hope everything is going well for you!

Anyway, I’m so glad for you that you had a great time with your family :) I hope you can see them again sooner than 3 years..

Almost 3 months is fantastic!! Enjoy the urge-free time :) you can do this!! :D

Congrats on making it so long pull-free! I wouldn't give up on your eyelashes just yet. From my experience, they take longer to fill in that even your eyebrows. Keep up the good work!! You're doing great!
