You mean that there is a name for IT? Im not weird? Trichotillomania, that big, long word that is the bane of our world. With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.

Hey all!! My name is Rachel. I'm 31 years old from Cleveland, Ohio and I live with my husband and 2 furbabies. I have been pulling my eyebrows and eyelashes for 18 years. I've been to a psychologist, psychiatrist, behavioral therapist and tried meds (prozac, buspar, luvox and anafrinil). For me these just didn't work and I always did better on my own (though I've heard of lots of people who do marvelously with them). I have had periods in my life where I've had all my eyebrows and eyelashes (senior yr of high school and my wedding...that was a shocker). I also have had times where I can stop for a few months and then it all goes down hill. Quite recently I've had a relapse that has been very destructive and lasted a couple months. I'm done...I've had enough and am really ready to stop. I really need to do this for myself. I've had too many emotional set backs lately with relapses, then add not being pregnant yet after 15 months trying, not good. This is the time for me to be motivated. I'm about a day and a half pull free (not that my hands didn't try last night, just got lucky). I intend to keep that going. I'm open to advice and welcome encouragement :) Here's to being Pull-Free!!!

Hello- I am new to the group
-
My therapist really knocked some sense into me last Friday about my spending. She said that there are needs and there are wants. She said that there is always going to be cheap stuff to buy, but do I need it? The answer is mostly "no". So today, I am taking back some things that I bought online at Kohl's, namely a 9 x 12 rug and a quilt for my bed. I also bought sheets that I don't need...
congrats on the regrowth!!!!

As for trying to conceive a baby - have you been to your dr? I've had 3 miscarriages and understand how hard it can all be xxx
Congrats, stay strong :) We're all in this together.
MrsKolo - I'm so sorry for your losses. That's something I wouldn't wish on anyone. I've never had a miscarriage, but no BFP either. This will be our 15th cycle/month ttc our first. My DH and I both had testing done per my ob/gyn. I had an HSG, also had my prolactin and thyroid levels checked. DH had a SA done as well. All of our tests so far have come back fine. This is my second cycle on Clomid. Just hoping God will bless us very soon!
Lots of hugs to everyone for your wonderful support!!!

Don't beat yourself up about the lost brow hairs. It takes awhile to train yourself to not pull, especially if you are feeling sick.
Just keep in coming back & starting over, again & again, if you have to. HUGS
