You mean that there is a name for IT? Im not weird? Trichotillomania, that big, long word that is the bane of our world. With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.

Hey all!! My name is Rachel. I'm 31 years old from Cleveland, Ohio and I live with my husband and 2 furbabies. I have been pulling my eyebrows and eyelashes for 18 years. I've been to a psychologist, psychiatrist, behavioral therapist and tried meds (prozac, buspar, luvox and anafrinil). For me these just didn't work and I always did better on my own (though I've heard of lots of people who do marvelously with them). I have had periods in my life where I've had all my eyebrows and eyelashes (senior yr of high school and my wedding...that was a shocker). I also have had times where I can stop for a few months and then it all goes down hill. Quite recently I've had a relapse that has been very destructive and lasted a couple months. I'm done...I've had enough and am really ready to stop. I really need to do this for myself. I've had too many emotional set backs lately with relapses, then add not being pregnant yet after 15 months trying, not good. This is the time for me to be motivated. I'm about a day and a half pull free (not that my hands didn't try last night, just got lucky). I intend to keep that going. I'm open to advice and welcome encouragement :) Here's to being Pull-Free!!!

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
sucks your infertility tests weren't covered - my goodness am I thankful we have the NHS!!!
Also, I'm in the process of finding a really good pic of Rachel Weisz. She is an absolutely beautiful actress who has gorgeous eyes. I want to take a pic to have on my phone as another motivator. Definitely worth a try :)

I know the feeling of not realizing the action of pulling until after. It's a learning curve. You now know that when the stress senses start working actively, that you need to distract them into positive action to help you stay pull-free.
Congratulations on one day pull free, you can do this!
You already are a success story, starting again immediately is awesome.
Yay for 1 day pf, I believe that you can do this. You want it bad enough!

Are you a listening learner or visual learner? If listening to something relaxes you, you will have to train your hands into another direction when they relax other than your head. The stress balls, cheap squishy toys, will give your hands something to distract with.
Best wishes!
You made it five days, hurray!
