Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I can believe that too. Sometimes people don't go through trauma. It can be genetics or even a chemical imbalance. I believe mine was alittle bit of a traumatic event and genetics.
It is nice when people are able to get on with their life's. For some they have been through so much it's not always easy. It would be nice to have whatever they got. I too want some. Thank you for your comment. Italianmomma4ever
I don't know why I get it or emotional very easy when there's nothing to be emotional about maybe it could be of certain thoughts I'm having at the time.
I to have it due to genetics. My mom had anxiety and so do two of my siblings and my aunts and uncles. It kinda of runs in my family. So that is why I got it.
Sorry to hear your 5 year old Megan gets it. She is very young.
I do think eveyone has gone through some type of trauma in their life and that would trigger it too.
You could be thinking about something negative so that is why your getting anxiety. Negative thoughts can bring on anxiety. Sometimes I can get very emotional too. I think women get more emotional then men do. It's just our nature.
Hope all is well with your family and doggie.
Take good care. Italianmomma4ever
for me going way back. The way my mom described me as an infant and toddler makes me wonder if I came out of the womb in a hyper vigilant state.
I’m not sure about it being genetic. Maybe more “predisposed?”
I also have anxiety only. That's what my doctor diagnosed me with. I do agree with you that everyone it's different for.
So trauma and your environment started your anxiety. Back when you were a child. Sorry to hear at such a young age. I have heard and only heard that you can be born with it. I'm not to sure about that theory.
My doctor told me that it can also be genetics, hereditary. I was surprised to hear that. Didn't know that. But my mom and a lot of my family have anxiety too. So I can see how I would have it. Plus years ago I went through some trauma in my life with deaths. So that also was a trigger point for me. Thank you for your comment. It was great hearing from you. Italianmomma4ever
We have a boat load of other mental and behavioral health issues on both sides of my family so honestly that well is deep for sure.
I never knew it could be genetic either until my doctor told me. That was a surprise too me.
We also have a lot of anxiety in our family. Mom, siblings, aunts and uncles. It runs through a lot of my family members. Environment definitely can play a part on anxiety too. And certain health issues can contribute to it. I have Hypothyrodism. I do take medication for it.
My mom and my brother have thyroid problems to.
Thank you for commenting back. I guess we both learned about it being genetic related. Italianmomma4ever
Hope this finds you having a good, pleasant and peaceful day. Very good question, as always and enjoy them.
I feel Anxiety as well as Depression stems from a traumatic experience or experiences, which trigger both. Whether personal looses of loved ones, like in your family and even mine or whatever else traumatic that has happened in your life, that are deep emotional scars.
My personal opinion is that neither are genetic, many people like to use that as That's the reason why, but no one is born with either, as i know not me, mine as well as most have to come from something traumatic, that triggers it. When your born and out of your Mother's wound, you have nothing traumatic that makes you either Anxious or Depressed. Many like to use genetic as a way out and excuse for the way they feel, that again triggers both. It's called find out what causes yours and work on yourself. Like no one is born a Killer, a Rapist and or even A Butcher, Baker or Candle Stick Maker LOL
I know you get me? D Train LOL
Stooges.
I do believe that death of loved ones first triggered my anxiety. Anxiety also runs in my family. My mom and siblings and aunts and uncles have it. So it can be hereditary. My doctor told me that. Which I didn't know. That was a new one on me.
I guess you wouldn't be born with it, that it would develop some time during your life time. Knowing what causes it is half the battle. So you can work on it. Makes sense. For me death is something that I have come to realize that it's part of life. It's just hard to lose people that you loved. And even animals that we loved. But that's life. I get it.
Your description about being born a killer, rapist. Makes sense. People aren't born like that. Maybe a butcher, baker or candle stick maker. Lol. I got you on that G.
Glad you liked my question and thank you for your comment. Italianmomma4ever
I haven’t really had any traumatic events in my life that I can connect it to.
I did hear someone say that if you keep things bottled up inside long enough they have to come out somewhere and sometimes that is anxiety or depression. If that is the case then that could explain mine. I was a very shy child and I have kept all my negative feelings inside. Even now I still don’t let my feelings out. I do go to therapy but I’m not loving my therapist. Will see her one more time and if I still feel the same way will find someone else.
My Mom is a super anxious person, and like I said, just watching her be anxious all the time when I was growing up, really rubbed off on me.
I believe that when it is genetic, it makes it harder to treat, That you inherited it, so how do you get rid of it?
Anyway, just some thoughts.
So you think yours is genetic. A lot of people think that too. If you had a mom that was always worrying about everything, I could see where that would make you alittle uneasy and not comfortable.
That's good that you haven't experienced any trauma in your life. Usually when you have been through a traumatic event that can trigger anxiety or depression.
I also kept a lot of things bottled up. Never was able to express my feelings or opinions growing up. Came from a family that you had to stay quiet and they were always right. It was tough to live like that.
I think as I got older I got wiser. And I express my feelings a lot better and it's a good feeling to get it all out in the open. I guess you can say I speak and say what's on my mind. Lol. But never disrespectful.
That's good you go to a therapist they can help you work on your feelings. Sorry you don't like your therapist. If that's the case I would look for a new one.

My mom was also a very anxious person and a perfectionist. She always made me feel uncomfortable. She expected a lot out of her kids. I grew up to really never be able to express myself or give my opinion. My parents were always right and you had to be a certain way and act a certain way.
Im a lot different today. I knew that when I grew up I didn't want to be like my parents. I express myself and have my own opinions. It was tough to be around that.
I feel a lot better. Like I can breath again.
That's a good question. How do we get rid of it if we inherited it? Anxiety is manageable but not cureable. So I don't think you ever get rid of it no matter how you got it. Ugh. Thanks for your comment. Great comment. Italianmomma4ever
I have read about anxiety too. And I have read that it could be caused by trauma or genetics or a chemical imbalance. My doctor also told me it could be hereditary. What a thing to inherit. Lol
Thanks again for your comment.
