Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Good afternoon,
I need advice, for these past few days I’ve been experiencing some tingling and numbness in my scalp. I am used to sometimes feeling my leg tingling when I’m having an anxiety attack or my hands numb, but never had I felt my scalp tingle. I’ve been taking for a few days some pills to help me lose some weight I don’t know if that could be something that is triggering this? I don’t want to panic and think is something else because it always turns out to be my anxiety and I don’t want to freak myself out. Please advise me or tell me if anybody else has ever experienced this. Tell me I am not hallucinating.

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...
Annieheart has asked a very important question of whether you’ve told your doctor(s) about these new symptoms. And if you haven’t, I strongly encourage you to do so as soon as possible.
I’ve learned that when I had assumed my nerve pain, tingling & numbness is just a consequence of my injuries or symptom of anxiety, I had missed the warnings signs of other causes that could lead to further nerve damage.
There are so many possible explanations for pins & needles, tingling & numbness, often that are not serious or dangerous, but anxiety be can heightened by new strange symptoms so in order to not worsen both anxiety or perhaps warnings symptoms of something like a pinched nerve or over taxed muscles ..., I truly encourage you to see your doctors about it, both mental and physical care providers (if you have both) as they together can help answer your questions & address these symptoms, which will in the end be able to provide much more reassurance to ease your anxiety than anything else I found. And if it is possible having them consult each for opinions and feedback would also be a great advantage for figuring out what may be source of these symptoms.
Sending you lots of support, reassuring comfort & hugs, Sparkletts.
And you know how anxiety is. The more you think about it, the more it happens. Stress and anxiety can do a number on our bodies and our brains are capable of some weird stuff.
I agree about checking the pills, stopping them and seeing if you notice a change. But also try distracting yourself and see if you still notice it after a while.
